Motion sickness / Severe Headache

<div class="IPBDescription">AAAAH!</div>So anyways, ever since I've played Natural Selection... I always seem to get a severe headache within 30 minutes of playing it. I'm assuming this has to do with motion sickness.
I love the game but its not worth it to have a terrible headache lingering throughout my entire day. Anyone else have this problem? I don't get motion sickness with other FPS games like CS, Doom III, Tribes, etc.
Solutions?
Thanks

Set an alarm to go off at 29minutes and give yourself a 5 minute break <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
no seriously though, try setting your max frames, refresh rates and vsync.
max frames you just pull down the console and type - max_fps "number"
vsync and refresh rates will be in your windows advanced display settings, depending on what type of video card and drivers you have, but its pretty easy to find.
some games also let you set them in game, but hl1 is so old that i don't think it does.
maybe even try a different monitor if you can get your hands on it.
You can try adding:
-freq 75
to the launch options of the game. Or higher if your monitor can handle it.
You do this by right clicking natural selection in steam, selecting properties, and then click the button "select launch options...".
Hope this helps a bit.
Turn vsync on, and see if your monitor will handle a higher refresh rate, by following the steps provided above.
Either that, or you are geniunely getting motion sickness from lerking...

for my friends, they simply cannot play any first person shooters or they feel ill. they can only play in the 3rd person view.
i can remember when i first played the original wolfenstein or doom i got motion sickness a bit, but i loved the games so much, that i just kept playing and got used to it. sometimes i still get it, but its due to my mouse scroll being too fast, once i slow it down to something that feels and looks natural, i'm fine.
quick question, please dont be offended by it.... but are you sober when this is happening? sometimes when i've had too many "fruit juices", a couple of "herbal cigarettes" and i play NS, i can get a bit of a headache as well.... =P
anyways, back to motion sickness....
Same with refresh rate, as others have said check that. I can hardly even look at a screen running at 60hz.

I know the FOV can be a problem in FPS's, this might help out; I haven't had a problem with this on.
So playing lerk more often will definately help with morning sickness on a pregnant woman. Also as preparation for your childbirth I recommend studying gorge tunnels thoroughly
Thanks for the information, how accurate is it though, has it been tried/tested?
That's a 11 year necro. That's a pretty long time, but just imagine: in 2050 there could be necros that are 20, 30, 40 years old. That would be older than the internet is right now. And we'll be alive to experience it. We are truly blessed.
