The Steam account does not own this game?

Hi, I have a slight problem joining games

Downloaded NS yesterday and installed it to Steam. Now when I join a server, I get the error message 'the steam account does not own this game. Try logging in with the correct account'. I only have the one Steam account and I am logged into the correct one. Brand new install of Steam and just bought Half Life 1 through Steam on Friday. No cheats installed (naturally). Trying to play NS beta 3.2.
Can anybody help me?

Specs:

XP2800+
1GB Ram
128MB Radeon Pro 9800 with latest drivers
Soundblaster Live
80GB hard drive
2MB Cable

Me and a friend have been getting this error in the last couple days as well. Not a lot but it's happened once or twice. Have to completely restart Steam for it to stop displaying that message whenever we try to join a server (once the error occurs).

I had this on II a few days ago. Did what was logically to do. Make the game know I do have it.
For NS startup HL1. For II, startup HL2. It boots, the damned thing knows we own it (cause it boots) and then we can play mods again.

Wonder why it messed. Told the ppl on the II server I joined and more had it
