<div class="IPBDescription">Doesnt run at ALL</div>Ok, heres the deal I played a couple years back, and I want to start it up again. But the problem is, whenever I try to run ANYthing on steam. It says

"An unhandled win32 exception occured in hl.exe [5112]"

If someone could help me, it would mean SO much to me! Thanks

If it helps, I did a google search, Steam forum search and Steam support search for basically anything matching "An unhandled win32 exception occured in hl.exe [5112]", nothing came up. There are several pages of unhandled win32 exception errors on the Steam forums but none match the error you seem to have gotten.

Sorry, wish I could be of more help.

Thats ok, I dont actually think thats the error because its a program bringing that up not a steam error. But I dunno... if there's any COMMON problems with this, can anyone please tell me. I cant run ANYTHING, it seems to be hl.exe.... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

Have you tried to uninstall steam, and then download half-life again? If there is a problem with half-life an uninstall should fix your problem.

This probably isn't a really good suggestion if you have lots of apps already installed. (HL2, lots of maps, plugins and such. just be sure to take backups.) Take my advice as a last resort and don't come to my house and kill me if it doesn't solve your problem.
