skulks way to see the world

I've been wondering about the way the world looks like as a skulk, most predators don't see the world as humans do but they feel warmth. since skulks is a hunter and as i see it they depend on suprise attacks i small spaces and dark rooms, which leads me to my question, why not make skulks see inferared making it easyer to spot marines i total darkness as a skulk?

    Because seeing only in infrared would make the player's eyes hurt over time.

    If your bothered by marines hideing in dark rooms, use flashlight, Kharaas version of it lights up marines like candles.

    infrared would be quite difficult to display on most monitors.

    Still, very few predators use infrared as primary target acquisition sensor wavelength (where was I going?). So really, this doesn't make a lot of sense. Sure the Kahraa would see a vastly different spectrum than we do (different in wavelength and perception). So really, it'd be wayyyyy to difficult to create something that makes any sense.

    I think something similar to the Predators vision types in the Aliens vs Predator games would be good in NS.
