Question, How Do You Seal A Vent With A Welder?

<div class="IPBDescription">need help</div> Well, i played Ns for only 4 days and i just found out over the forums that you can seal vents. How do you seal vents using a welder??? I thought it's only use was tpo repair marine structures, weld heavy suits armor and burning webs. It can also be used for killing aliens.     Well, It can be used to seal vents. All you have to do is get close to the vent and keep pressing on your mouse when you are there so the welder is constantly on.     1 more thing, a blue bar will also appear to show your progress.

    I thought there were specific parts that you had to weld, like there are invisible bars with a little picture of a fire and thats the only place you can weld.... i could be wrong tho, i am still nomble.

    Not all vents can be welded. The weldable symbol, for things that can be welded, looks like an orange circle with a flame in it. In order to weld said object, bring out your welder, aim it directly at the symbol, move close, and hold fire. If you are hitting the weldable, a progress bar will appear and will show your current status. When the bar fills up, the weld is complete, and somthing new will happen. This ranges from vents closing, to new shortcuts opening or switches becoming active (like the blast doors on hera). If you don't get the progress bar, then the weld has allready been welded, or you aren't close enough. When it doubt, allways aim for the weld symbol, it is 100 percent accurate.

    Keep in mind, not all weldables have that logo.
