Fatal Error while loading v3.2

My Game crash's on join/load no matter if I create or I try and join an online server. I have version 3.2 and am trying to join 3.2 servers, try'd 3.1.3 but obviously the DLL's are different. The fatal error I am recieving now (after uninstalling/re-installing about 5-6 times and the error changing 3 times) is:

Mod_LoadBrushModel: models/cindergibs.mdl has wrong version number (0 should be 30)

Things I have done to try and fix it: (not necessarily in this order)
1. Uninstall and delete NS folder, restart, re-install
2. Uninstall IE7, restart, then 1 again.
3. Went all the way through HL Training, then 1 again.

I would like to get back into NS as I use to play the early versions.


Any help very appreciated.

    try and locate them files that looks like they are missing /or bad version and ask if someone can send them to you, from an install of NS that DOES work.

    I have just gone through the entire C:\programfiles\valve\steam\steamapps\MyEmail\half-life\ns folder and could not find the file at all.

    I also ran a search on C: for the file to no avail.

    I will try Downloading the patch from a different server and see how I go.

    Well I just download the file again from a different place (torrent this time) and still no good. It crash's at the 'Precaching Rescoures' part of the load if that any help. Its still the same error also.

    Maybe someone could email me this? or upload it on a hosting site or something for me?

    just a wild hint

    try and start a local server

    then when its rendered that
    go online and play

    <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />

    its a common remedy to the precache error.
    you start a local game and it renders it,creating the files.

    then you try it online and it works.
    yeah trust me, ive had every common to semicommon steambug you can think of....
