2 simple modifications

1) aliens can egg in walls and ceiling... that can be cool if the eggs dripping green mucus (this is the idea i like the most*

2) marines can see like circle area in the floor around the commander specific objective... so its just a little help for newbies stay close to the objectives... the side of the circle can be modified by the commander... this add can be turn off if u like...and this can be use in each team squad...

    is just mark as a circle in the floor a big kinda circle so is just a way to stay alert about what kinda area you must cover... that mean if u are out of the circle you are rambo mode... is a stupid simple request so the newbies don't rambo and stay around the circle as much as possible.... maybe is a big help for commanding and get your troops what you want just more specific.... (like "stay in the circle guys..." )and maybe for patrolling... who knows... and about the egg... is taken seriously?<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="???" border="0" alt="confused-fix.gif" /> ill love that personally....

    It's easier to just get a mic and tell your troops to stay in <insert area>

    some commanders don't have mic.... and maybe some ppl don't have audio... still usefull. but im not going to make a big deal... i have mic and audio.

    circle on the floor isnt a bad idea, the current one gets in the way sometimes making it difficult to see. It would also be more useful at pointing things out when it close proximity to the marine.

    or do it so the comm can draw lines and tell marines specifically where to go, for flanks, ninjas ect. a more advanced WP system

    so basically, a multi-WP system, just like in most RTS games, while holding SHIFT allow you to arrange consecutive WPs... Could be of some interest, since the commmight want a pack of soldier go to a specific spot using a specific way... (ninja or simply avoid spreading out into 2 or 3 different corridors)

    Are you saying that a marking on the floor to create a clear and precise location that doesn't obstruct your view (like the normal ns waypoint does) and can easily be seen when 'on top of it' in a strategic game where the commander may like to pinpoint:<ul><li>Where the marines should go</li><li>Where the marine should stand (possibly to avoid being spotted by aliens)</li><li>Where he's going to drop a phasegate or other building</li><li>Where the commander suspects an alien or cloaked building to be</li></ul>which can all be useful even if the comm is also using a mic... is dumb?

    I like the idea of being able to draw a line to the next spot. You could select a marine and sketch out their path on the minimap. Yes this would be time consuming, but if could be an alternative to a standard waypoint to be used when taking a certain path is very important.

    I'm sick of giving a WP and having people split in 2 or 3 directions to get there because they all think they know the "best way" to get there. Giving them a series of WPs and following them the whole way takes too much valuable attention (much more than it would take to sketch out the path really quickly).

    Marines could see the path on their minimap or as a series of WPs.

    1 is a very good idea, and something like 2 would be nice, though I might just opt for a more versatile and deep minimap solution.
