Playing any MMO at the moment?

<div class="IPBDescription">Which and why?</div>So I think I'm through with WoW for a while, after getting the ole' /gkick for basically questioning the logic of the guild dictator... what MMO's are you guys playing these days, what do you like about em and why? I'm deeply considering trying out city of heroes/villains or vanguard, or possibly Lord of the Rings which is about to come out. I'm well aware of the highly anticipated MMO's on the horizon too, like Warhammer, Conan, and Tabula Rasa, but I'm looking for something more immediate =p
anyone play city of heroes/villains or vanguard? One negative comment I read about both of em is that you kinda NEED to group up to get anywhere in em. Well, how big a group are we talking about? because I plan on playing alongside my fiance, so anything that can be 2-manned is fair game, heh. Any input? Sorry if the topic is a little cliche'd, it does seem to come up about once every month or two... =p

I LOVE the job system and the game is a lot more in depth than WoW... Plus the players are nicer.
(At the trade off of likable locations in WoW and soloability.)
Why do I play CoX?
Character creation is a dream. You can REALLY get into your characters, you will rarely see 2 people that look alike (unless it is on purpose). There are enough differences in the powers (5 archetypes per side (H/V), with about 8 primary and 8 secondary power sets per, and the powers are actually different between sets, a fire blaster is different then an assault rifle blaster).
Power sets to match just about anyone's play style (though if you like having minions make sure you pickup CoV as well as CoH, honestly, if you are going to be playing pick up a copy of the Good Vs Evil box, both games for not much, and there is the fact that it is $15 a month for either or both together)
You can do both Team play or solo with just about any character (a pure empath can not solo, but that is about it I think).
The stories are great.
Casual players can just as much out of the game as hardcore players.
So, the cons:
Not enough players, thus it CAN be hard to find groups.
No end game content. (counter argument is that it is all about the path, not the destination, and rolling Alts is alot more fun)
No Phat Lewt (this can be a + or - depending on your book, though it is being added in the next patch, along with crafting).
With that I am gona go play some CoX with my Girl Friend <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
(oh, and I would suggest staying the heck away from Vanguard until it stops being a Beta)
*Don't hit me*
I tried Vanguard, not good.
I wanna get back to City of Heroes, but I don't have time these days with college and job hunting.
Metrohunter, my lvl 48 blaster, is now in a temporary self-exile.
Guildwar is nice, but he's asking about MMO though.

/me hits DrSuredeath
;p
Yes, Guild Wars isn't a 'true' MMO but it scratches a similar itch
you you you want to be a space pirate:P
I've tried EVE but couldn't get TOO into it, and I'd have no chance of getting the little woman into it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" /> way too complicated and inaccessible for her methinks <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" /> she'd throw her computer at the wall the first ship she lost hehe
also, if I get guild wars, which is the most newbie-friendly? is it nightfall?
Check with your friends to see if they still have preorder bonus keys.
So in short, is there a way to get some trial CoX? Or maybe I could borrow your account? You know, give YOUR CoX a try.
unfortunately there are no trials for CoX, it is REALLY annoying. I got lucky and happened to have one left over from preordering CoV, but that is it.

How about this: <a href="http://www.cityofheroes.com/news/archives/2007/04/recruit_a_sidek.html" target="_blank">http://www.cityofheroes.com/news/archives/...it_a_sidek.html</a>
TODAY they started up a refer a friend system.
any one that wants a 10 day free trial to play with CoX should send me a PM and I will send back a key!
1. World of warcraft
I just love the game, but i think that's mainly because i'm in a danish guild ( i'm danish too... -.- ) and that we all use Ventrilo pretty much all the time, and due to it's members activity we have plenty of guild-runs and we raid pretty much every day.
2. CoX
what can i say? i'm just another CoX lover <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" /> another game i just can't stay away from. I play it with a couple of friends and my girlfriend. This game is really nice if you actully read the missions instead of just accepting them and then go grind them. If you're into abit of roleplaying this is an awesome game in my oppinion.
3. MMO's in general
They are the DEVIL!

if any of you want a referral - 10 days trial thingy, throw me a pm and i'll send it asap <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
My global nick is @Death Monkey1
I mainly play on Victory, hit me up in game if you want.
all the ones above are quite interesting (and not released yet)
And I found this <a href="http://www.fallenearth.com/index.php" target="_blank">Faller Earth</a> The idea seems nice, yet the videos disappointed me a little bit.

hmm, I just saw an ad/banned thingy on mmorpg.com
<a href="http://flyff.gpotato.com/" target="_blank">Flyff</a>
Looks pretty polished for a free game, there has to be a catch <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

But srsly, I dont'.
Lost my soul halfway in WoW, I'm now attempting to create a new one.
I do play NS casually.
