Getting an Error

in Tech Support
Everytime i get on my friend's server 2 seconds into the games my game minimizes and i get

Steam.exe (main exception): Win32 StructuredException at 0F563A03 : Attempt to read from virtual address 8 without appropriate access rights

Then im exited out

    is this only on your friend's server?
    can you start up a listen server and poke around?
    what are your system specs?
    Have you tried compleatly reinstalling NS?
    Does this happen with any other Steam games?

    This is an unusual error message - I have never seen it or heard of it.

    oh, and there is also the old standby.

    deleate ClientRegistry.blob (should be in your STEAM folder), restart steam, and try again.

    oh, and.

    /me smacks Depot for speakign that name.

    I reinstalled steam and ns but i also get it in CS Source too =/ and i deleted the Clientregistry.Blob but now when i try to enter a server on CS Source my screen goes black then it comes back on and nothing happens

    mkay, so this is a STEAM problem, I would suggest poping over to steampowered.com, they would beable to give you better help.

    btw, did you shut down steam, remove clientregistry.blob, then start steam back up? (it will see the file is missing and remake it)

    otherwise check steampowered.com and they have a rather good knowledge base (check through it before goign to the forums).
