This is sort of a complex question. I am trying to get NS to run on my HTPC that is hooked up to my HDTV. If someone is running a PC to an HDTV, you will understand what I am talking about. So I can't seem to get NS to run in the proper underscan resolution.
The proper underscan resolution I found with my TV is 1216x676 for a 720P resolution. I can't get NS to stick to that resolution though. I can choose to run full 720P, but it is overscanning. If I send in the -w and -h command line parameters, it will reset to default resolution of 640x480(?).
Does this have something to do with those 640_text and so on files in the NS directory, if so, how can I make it run at a custom resolution? Anyone?

Thats widescreen, right?
Anyway: You could try to run hl in window mode, and then just choose a resolution that seems most fit.
