This is my favorite PS2 game and one of - if not <i>the</i> - best games I have ever played. The story is pretty quirky and gripping, the characters are funny and lovable, and the combat kicks ######. The puzzles are extremely fun and just the entire style of the game is simply amazing. If you like adventure games then THIS IS the game for you. If you're skeptical about purchasing it I implore you to at least rent it and give it a chance - it's incredibly fun, and I hardly rant about games like I would this one. This could be my favorite game of all time.

    Heh, I thought it was more like Zelda redone with some Japanese Mythology.

    Definantly has some good play mechanics.

    I have played it for a while now and i really like the game.
    The world in this game is huge!
    But now im stuck and haven't played it for a couple of days now.

    Had it for ages (got it when it first came out in the UK) and it's a great game. Doesn't make my 'best evar games' list but it certainly was considered for it as it's exceptionally good.

    The art style is snazzy, characters interesting and the plot isn't as predictable as it leads you to believe it is :D

    This game was very awesome and I really did enjoy it. Not very difficult though except for a few random sections, but still a really excellent game.

    I love how you can make the wolf really pudgy after finishing it once. Nothing gives me more jollies.

    They still go for around $130 new, and buying used ones can be an iffy bet.

    however there are so many games out that I really want that I will pick one up eventualy.

    I personaly think that is a good thing.

    I got my Wii shortly after release (lucky me) and so far have only bought 3 games for it. Sure there are other games I would like, but I can't justify the $$ the cost, however with the PS2 I can just start buying games as I crave a new one. I KNOW what gaems are worth it, and I can get alot of em at a discount <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

    The art is wonderful, that's what made me decide to buy the game. That and, in the demo I played, I really liked the play style, very unique. I ran around in circles for about ten minutes making flowers appear. I would have liked for it to be a little harder, but all in all good game. Highly recommended.

    It was incredibly easy, but it's absolutely <i>gorgeous</i> and totally deserves all the honors it won. I was so very disappointed at how poorly it sold in both the US and Japan, and that Clover Studio was disbanded (although the folks are still at Capcom, just not together in a single studio anymore)...

    I was baffled because clover was nuked before Okami even came out over here. I did my part and bought the beatiful game though... did you?

    I've wanted to play it since I heard about it but... until the Wii, I haven't owned any consoles. Played on most of the previous generations though.
    Maybe I'll downlo- I mean, rent it.

    Because their game after Okami was bad.
    SOOO bad.
    REALLY REALLY BAD..
    OMG it was horrible.
    I think they were trying to make a satire of how crappy it could be, and it just comes off as crap.

    It's like a gei version of Devil May Cry :O

    Apparently it has a great fighting engine to it, but thats masked by the amazingly hard difficultly levels, and crappy exterior.
