while it is true that NS2 might confuse players who are unfamiliar with NS, I don't think people are too dumb to OR (if they are thinking about buying the game) read reviews about NS2 and then buy it OR google NS and find out about what NS is and then buy it.
Subtitles make me think about expansian packs, whereas "2" games (even with added subtitles) make me realize within an instant that it isn't just the same but upgraded, but a totally different game.
I agree "Natural Selection 2" is fine as title.. and maybe add a line in the ads saying "Sequel of Half-Life's best/most successful [put something here] etc.etc.etc.". or something like that to let know the new buyers there was something good before this new game...

...how about best/most successful mod, which is what it is? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

Tactical Ops?
Red Orchestra?
DoD?
CS?
Natural Selection 2 is fine, customers don't need to know it was a MOD and frankly they probably don't care.
