Fun Things To Do With Marines?

How amuse yourself with the unexpected?
Does anyone have any fun ideas on how to scare or play with the marines while they don't expect it ? I was reading some posts on using parasite to open doors while in hiding, and then the marines get scared looking for you.

Anyone have anything ? I'd love to try some out in-game

repeatedly shoot them with parasite from a dark location. freaks the hell out of them because their life is just slowly, slowly falling down but they cant find whats doing it.

as a cloaked Onos, use primal scream as marines pass by but dont attack them.

Obviously, chuckle from a concealed place, or when cloaked, or when running up behind them.

Yea I had fun hanging from a wall , cloaked, and parasiting every marine that walked by. I was there a good 6 minutes eating some chicken for breakfast and with my free hand lacing them with parasites. I even killed one who was building.
Then when they decided to shoot at random for me, 2 onos and a fade greeted them.

Chuckle. This scares the beejezus out of marines. Do it a couple of times while cloaked above them, and they start shooting everywhere but where you are. Reload = munch.

Also, you could wait till reinforcements arrive and they try to build something. Most marines are too stupid to cover their teammates instead of building like crazy, and end up getting munched.

Actually, I've noticed a disturbing amount of marines smart enough to cover their builders as of late. They're getting smarter... evolving!

One thing I do when playing Lerk... when the T-Fac is down, I let my teammates have the fun and take out the turrets and resource pullers. I stand guard with umbra against any **obscenity** off marines that might shoot you in the **obscenity** while you're having the victory meal of turrets. I've saved my fade's **obscenity** so many times with that.

Hahahaha! Thats awesome! Of course, I always get my @ss killed, when I try to parasite anything...

Yes, hanging outside a marine spawn, from the ceiling, and dropping down and biting their heads off is fun.

When they come back, they will even begin hunting for you. Funny thing is, they will stay crouched (like I wouldn't notice him andyways) and will keep aimed at the ceiling. Many a times I was just right on the floor and I walked up to him, chuckled, and bit his head off.

Oh it's so fun. My favorite is having two skulks outside a Marine base, one messes with marines and runs around, and when they chase I come from hiding and bite them to death. Quite t3h funn3h.

one thing I've taken to doing when they can't get to me easily enough, is to chuckle and bite nearby. They'll start shooting where they think you are, but just keep going at it. Pretty soon, they get used to it and think you'll never come out. When that happens, run in and kill them all!

I've heard that leaping into their face and chewing it off scares the crap out of marines, though I've yet to try it (headcrab style. )

Blink is a good one too. Blinking right in front of people is a great one

LOL, skulks aren't mean, they're cute, little cuddly creatures, we're only agressive cuz the marines tried to ditch us. Don't drop a skulk off at some strange place, like you did with your wife's cat, you've already been parasited, we can find you anywhere....

The cloaked chuckle is good. I like the scatter of marines when an Onos does a primal scream from down the hall.

Since ur talking about claoking is it possible to uncloak some 1 by shining a flashlight at them? My bro said he was hiding and some marine shined his flash light at him. Then he said he heard a funny sound and he was uncloaked. Any thoughts?

Oh yea nad a funny thing to do, be a cloaked gorge with web 1st part placed on wall. Then when a marine comes lay it down and presto! Free lunch for u and all ur mates.

    Hm....

It's more likely that the commander spotted the marine looking at this spot, and did a scanner sweep. That's probably what the funny noise was.

1: Only l3 cloaking is actually totally invisible.
    2: A flashlight won't make a difference.

So possibly, POSSIBLY it was l2 cloaking, in shadows, and the flashlight made him show up more. But I'm more inclined to go with the first guess

I was able to hide near the marine spawn, and wait a bit, and approx 4-5 ran by, and I was able to chase behind them and nab 3 of them waiting for a blast door to open.
And that was right after a fellow alien said to stop rushing the marines.
Ahh, fresh meat. And been chuckling alot more, which does make them shoot wildly. I gotta practice dodging bullets and then feasting when its reload time.

Lunching on building marines is always a stone riot. Even if they notice and pull a gun out, it takes a fair bit of time to pull the piece out and start firing.

Record "lunch" is 3 Marines building a sentry turret. One was watching, then got bored and went to start building as soon as the sentry was dropped. Came down, bit two before they even realized they were under attack, then caught the last as he backpedalled (never, EVER backpedal, Marines!)
Finished up that hearty meal with a topping of Turret Factory, and a Resource Tower for dessert.

yeah, did this today. Saw a marine coming so I drew his attention and ran through a hallway where three of my fellow skuls were lying in ambush

My favourite thing is to set up ambushes as a gorge : place some webs, cloak and wait for the humans to pass by and unleash some babblers

Dude, I was a gorge the other day. I had to defend the hive against one heavy with HMG. We had 2 hives up so my best option was to web. He shot a few bullets in my fat @ss before the web took effect. I was all around him and kept webbing the floor around him. He did absolutely nothing! Among the webbing, I built offensive chambers all around him (basically trapping him). He couldnt go anywhere, the chambers came up, I kept the floor nice and webbed, and presto long painful death for the heavy marine. I was laughing so hard that game.

lol....i used bits and pieces of all these strats before but next game as aliens, i'll try using them alot. i'll especially try the chuckle thing cause i usually just jump down on them when they have a full clip and no other aliens are willing enough to help lay a trap. celerity is all i need to make a pile of lmgs/pistols lie on the floor.

It's even more humilitating to heal spray the marine you just webbed when a gorg. It's like them welding us to death. Hehe.
