NS Group
Trackmania: United just came out on Steam and it allows you to make groups in the game (can compete with, play with, etc. Kinda like Steam friends). If anyone besides Tekdude and I bought said game, I made a NS group called "Natural Selection"

It still is.

This is Track Mania: United.
Not really clear on what 30 USD gets you...
The races win you 'coppers' (in game money), which you can spend on things like new solo maps, car skins and so forth. There is also State/Nation and Worldwide rankings of all the players.
Finally, the ingame track editor is very easy to use. Basically every single server has their own unique tracks, which update all the time as people submit more. You could play for a week straight and never do the same race, literally.
However, all the older versions still have it. Even the free one as far as I know. Yes, copy protection on a free game.
Supposedly, Trachmania: United doesn't install the Starforce driver. Supposedly, it only uses some Starforce code internally for key validation. Supposedly.

Correction:
Incredibly intrusive and EVIL copy protection on a free game.
Can some one who has downloaded TM:U let us know if you can still use virtual optical drives?
starforce

There are ways to make starforce, ahem, ignore certain drives btw.
2. starforce.
1. pc driving wheels are rare as rocking horse s*** (in the UK anyway); and you're at a huge disadvantage without one.
2. starforce.

Point two has been rebuffed. Unless you're worried about money going to the creators of that hell-spawn. The version that TM:U uses is harmless.
