I'd be up for a game soon, I got my NS 1.04 and 3.2 working fine and eager to get some 1.04 action going. Perhaps we could schedule a time for tomorrow or Saturday?

I would be playing 1.04 right now but my PC is not working because the RAM inside it is needed for other things. So I'm stuck on my Mac, unable to play NS <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />.

Ok, how about we play tonight at 8 EST? I'm going to attempt to advertise in some NS IRC channels. I already went there and mentioned it. Some people seemed interested.

There is an alternative resource mod that recreates a resource system similar to 1.04 on NS 3.2, but a direct 1.04 for steam is unknown to me.

The .bat file is simple anyway, just make sure to delete any folders accidentally left behind by it (there should only be 2 NS folders, the third one is nearly empty and should be deleted).

Well... It's July 27 right now and its a Friday. Last I remember that means 1.04 weekend is here <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />.
Edit: Oh no... 1.04 weekend is next weekend, I just realized now while thinking about the dates of the year <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />.
According to the dates I described, it is the first weekend of the week including the 1st of the month, so it would be August 3rd - 5th.
Think beginning of month, not end <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />
If anyone can think of a better way to describe this please do.

Yeah I realized "first friday of the month" wasn't this weekend right after I posted <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />. I just forget dates to easily and I'm excited for some Ns 1.04 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />.
It might be a good idea to start trying to get an idea of when people will be available to play (server is in texas). With so few players it really needs to be scheduled ahead of time. Since I'll be hosting the server (unless someone else wants to), you can contact me on IRC #EvolveNS on irc.GameSurge.net.

I don't know what times I'll be available, but I can say that I'll most likely be available latter in the day. I will be available around 11 PM EST and on, but during the day I usually have things to do.
Seems the 1.04 event went pretty well <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> Shame i missed it 1.04 was imo a different style of NS one that was as good as the current version in many ways (longer games being one imho) Glad to see my 1.04 installer is still working ok <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> There ahs been over 3600 downloads of it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
shame i missed this event, really would like to play 1.04 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

Don't worry, we only have to wait another couple of weeks till the next 1.04 weekend! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
To the point: I really think someone should keep a list of people interested to participate so that we can PM them whenever the 1.04 weekend comes along. We can then organize predetermined times to join on a forum thread like this (or even on IRC if anyone knows how and are willing to set that up).
EDIT: Made a list of people who I think are/were interested in NS 1.04 from this thread. Here it is:<ul><li>CyberMantis</li><li>Misfire</li><li>Kassinger</li><li>Llamaguy2010</li><li>That_Annoying_Kid</li><li>Haze</li><li>Chocolate</li><li>AnimeLOL</li><li>Tonee</li><li>Soylent_green</li><li>DC_Darkling</li><li>Asmodee</li><li>Spinviper</li><li>Kaewan</li><li>Bry</li><li>DRagon</li><li>Johnie</li></ul>I think that is everyone so far. I'm betting that maybe 1/4 - 1/5 of the people in list aren't interested anymore, and many others just forgot about this event. If I missed anyone, just PM me or something like that <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />.

Well see how it works out this time around <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />. I'm just thinking we might have to go a bit further than PMing those players, by giving solid times to join before hand, so people can plan their schedule accordingly and dont need to check back every so often. That wouldn't stop players from joining in anytime tho <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />.
PS: I guess I'll do the PMing of those players. I did the list so I might aswell <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />.
Yup, I'm still interested. I think the best way to contact me, is through steam. I check this thread every now and then, so that's the second best option. Not much of an IRC user.

Where is it located? I seem to get ~100-110 ping to it. Must be west coast, no?
My steam friends handle is jpd(at)cs.dal.ca if anyone wishes to add/contact me.

Oh that's just too easy.
Shame i missed it 1.04 was imo a different style of NS one that was as good as the current version in many ways (longer games being one imho)
