Going to start on a replacement pack

<div class="IPBDescription">could use some help maybe....</div>Once i get my laptop back from the dealer for a faulty fan, I'll be working on a pack for replacing an assortment of models. I'll most likely just need a uvmapper and a skinner, as for the rest I'll most likely do myself once i grasp animation with 3ds max. Heres a list of models I'll be planning to make for the pack. Note that this will take a long time prob, but instead of letting it die if i get bored with it i'll release each as they get done in a thread.

<b>Aliens:</b>

-Recreate the biodome structures with a higher polycount since its one of my more popular works, with new SC, Res tower (if i can get a good concept idea for it), and hive.

-Reskin aliens to match biodome structures theme.

-New color scheme for adrenaline and res sprites



<b>Marines:</b>

-Knife: Type of raptor-claw bladed knife sounds good to me, i might change my mind if i can find a better knife though.

-LMG: Needs mapped, skinned, animated, and compiled [<a href="http://s102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/d00m3dd00d/?action=view&current=finalrender.jpg" target="_blank">x</a>][<a href="http://s102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/d00m3dd00d/?action=view&current=finalrender2.jpg" target="_blank">x</a>]

-Pistol: Not quite sure yet, i'll look through some concepts later or draw one up myself

-Shotgun: I'm dying to draw out the concept for this one: spas-12 style barrel shotgun, instead of pumping it breaks open (think double barrel shotgun) and ejects shell, loads new shell when closed.

-HMG: 3 barrel minigun (think <a href="http://www.montysminiguns.com/brian.htm" target="_blank">this</a> would be a good base, .22 is about the only round you could shoot at that rate and live. Perhaps with the barrel from the top of <a href="http://www.montysminiguns.com/9.jpg" target="_blank">this</a> or i could use that as the turret top.). Think its about time we had a nice minigun now eh?

-Structures: I was going to go with some ideas from sushifx's spec ops v2 and mix them up with the default structures, maybe just some refines high poly models.

    nice fuzzy you got a time line your looking at or are you just going to whittle away at it all.

    as for the res node would you consiter tottaly breatching the current alien res node hulls/ bounding box, prahaps a tottaly diffrent shape maybe a tall sprialy twisting pillar, with vents and exsausts, or prahaps a aliens version of a rine res node a short fat stumpy round thing with carapace legs, even a alien modifyed/infested rine res node.

    I suppose this will be the LMG, concept from the ns2 concepts in the dev page. Doubt it would be used as many concepts as they have <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

    damn that mini gun rocks, its interesting i was in second life hte otherday in a sand box sorting out my invent, when i come across a mini gum sone one had resed, along with a few other guns and weapons, the thing was all the gun just like the mini gun where 1/4 of the sim in size. the mini gun from second life was exstreamly impressive for a second life based weapon.

    that area around the trigger looks uncomfortable. It should follow the grip's curve rather than a block liek that.

    btw, how many polies? :0
