So, I am just going to post up all the arguments I can think of pertaining to Xentor.
1) He is a human, was saved last night, and contacted by the guardian. 2) He is a human, was or was not saved last night, and contacted by a wolf. 3) Is a wolf.
Looking back through Xentor's posts and votes the most likely candidate for implication due to Xentor getting wolfed would be PKer.
Day 2 Xen posted up a good number of rather solid arguments. Including one quasi implicating PKer, and followed it up with a vote. After that semi, Isamil, and Fas all voted against PKer (though Isamil switched quickly).
So, either this is wolves trying to save PKer, or wolves trying to implicate PKer.
Saving him seems to obvious, so it seems more likely to me that they are trying to implicate him.
Now, of course the circular reasoning comes into play with the wolves OBVIOUSLY knowing that we would think they were trying to implicate PKer, so he MUST be a wolf! they made a clasic blunder, NEVER get into a battle of wits with a Sicilian when DEATH is on the line! HA! HAHA! HAHAHA----- /me falls over.
yah, I now it is getting played out.
OH, what do I think?
I dono.
I am a kin to believe that xen is human, was contacted by the guardian and that PKer is human. But only for the moment <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
I will post up one odd thing.
I have no idea why Xen was protected.
He isn't REALLY an obvious wolf target. So why guard him?
TBH, that sorta makes me think the guardian: A) knows something we don't. B) is afk and it was a random.org. C) did not actually protect Xen.
After spending time thinking about it a lot, <b>Faskalia</b> near last minute vote was not a good move for him.
Throwing a vote at about the last second to attempt to make sure that who you wanted to die dies, is somewhat wolfish. At the very least, your last minute vote could have hurt us, allowing a wolf to hide among the confusion you created, and someone who helps the wolfs hide is better off died anyway.
Now if you have a very good reason, I would like to hear it in full.
Be aware, that I will be leaving in about 2 hours, and will be back on much latter tonight, so sooner is better.
This primarily concerns the <b>Even Seer</b> and <b>Guardian.</b> If one of you doesn't see it, I'm pretty much screwed.
Since someone has seen fit to come out publicly about his part in this game, I feel I need to do the same. I'd like to think I've developed enough good-will for this gamble to work, but even if you don't believe me, hopefully you will believe my logic:
I have been in contact with the odd seer. We so far have a 3 man network based on this.
I am attempting to bring out the even seer tonight after the voting: I need the even seer to seer me and the guardian to protect me. Even if I would make a bad wolfing anyways due to this post, I can't risk it. I think my death tonight would implicate already suspected players, but who knows.
I figure this is win-win as we don't have any solid wolf targets at this point, just a bunch of "maybes." So, a guard on me couldn't be that wasteful, but even if the guardian doesn't play ball, I can at least get all the info needed to those who need it. And a successful seering would link our networks.
If I'm a wolf, then score one for the humans. You have your first (I think, depending on what the even seer found night 2) wolf to lynch.
I am posting this rather than in IRC because I don't think the guardian saw what soul_rider had talked about: bringing out the seers. So, he got wolfed without getting his idea to work. I hope I fare better.
The only flaw (only, but massive) in this is that if the even seer is already dead, I'm screwed. But at least we will know that we're down a role. Also, if the guardian does make a save, at least he'll know I'm human.
NOTE: I will be on-site almost all day tommorrow, so I may not be around for the end day. I will leave my vote for isamil.
I am going to cast my vote for <b>Theslan</b> Mainly because in previous games where he has been human he seems to post much more commonly than he currently is. If theres a reason for the less common posting, I'd love to know why.
I'm going to leave my vote on <b>Isamil</b> for now. I was tempted to go for Faskalia, but as they both seem highly suspicious to me, I'd rather even up the votes and see what happens.
For some reason I never connected that when a guardian protects someone and they get saved, it's almost as a good as a seer check (almost!). That is something I will have to remember for the future.
Xentor was an odd choice to save imo. Maybe the guardian felt Xentor was one of the few players he was somewhat confident they were human and thus saved them? Lot's of impossibilities I guess, also mentioned by other people.
Since I have not been around IRC much (which is changing, I am finally free!), I am having to rely on forum posts mostly for my info right now which never gives you a good a picture as nice long talks in IRC. Right now I think I shall cast my vote on <b>Ana</b> purely as a holder until I get some chatting done in IRC to get a better handle on what the heck is going on.
As for why it is Ana, I am starting to hate her colours as well. They burn my eyeballs!
Well, I got a little info out of IRC and dug through some logs. I wanted to get a meaningful vote in earlier in the day do as not to repeat the problem of the person I am going to vote for: <b>Faskalia</b>
Your voting 45 seconds (I didn't notice how close it was) before the day ends is just poor playing regardless of your role. I know I am imbalancing the votes again like Day 1, but I hope this is enough time to allow things to change if need be. Didn't want to wait till I had 45 seconds left <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
Payroll had to go out today, so at least I'm in the office for the morning. Anyways, I don't remember exactly how close Faskalia's vote was. The forum says 3 minutes, but the discussion in IRC didn't match up.
Taking from the log Isamil posted: <!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Aug 06 17:00:20 <Isamil> no? Aug 06 17:00:24 <Planetkiller> fenix - eh? Aug 06 17:00:28 <Eternaly_Lost> less then 1 min Aug 06 17:00:35 <Isamil> 35 s! Aug 06 17:00:38 <Faskalia> FENIX JUST TAKE YOUR TJO VOTE BACK Aug 06 17:00:50 <Isamil> rather bloodthirsty here Aug 06 17:00:56 <semi> chaos! loud noises! Aug 06 17:01:05 <Planetkiller> Fask, why the bloodlust?<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Basically, with 35 seconds left in the day, I was being called out by Faskalia and Isamil (to a lesser extent) to make a gut-shot vote change. Didn't sit well at all with me.
I'll put up on <b>Isamil</b>, just to maintain status quo and prevent instalynch. We have five or so more hours, and we might as well milk them, so consider that quasi-temporary.
Ok, it's logic time again... Better do it now, since I may not last the night...
For any who haven't been keeping up with the thread, I got a message today (This game day, I mean) that I was the wolf target last night. This message is from someone claiming to be the Guardian, of course. This now raises some questions...
<i>Q: Is this genuine, or is this person a wolf?</i>
A: I'm leaning toward the former. If I wasn't the actual wolf target, I think by now the real guardian would have contacted the real target, who would have spoken up. If I WAS the target, and was contacted by a wolf, the real guardian would likely have spoken to me. Hence, I'm operating under the assumption that this is genuine.
<i>Q: Why was I guarded?</i>
A: I already know the answer to this one, and it's simple and logical. I don't want to reveal the identity of the guardian, though, so I won't post it.
<i>Q: Why was I a wolf target?</i>
A: Discounting the possibility of a random.org (Seriously, I hope the wolves aren't THAT inactive), there must be a reason they picked me. I've been vocal, but not really in the spotlight. I've made some accusations that may have been accurate (Or may be totally wrong, but would serve the wolves well if vindicated). Maybe they targeted me because I was unlikely to be guarded.
My guess, though, is that they're picking off players they think are experienced. SoulRider was the first to drop, and he was clearly the star of the previous game. im_lost was next, and he's known to be a seasoned veteran. I don't think I'm the most experienced of the remaining players, but I'm the only one using a big "Rank 3" signature image. Sure, the ranking is partially luck (The most useful player can easily just be wolfed on the last night), but inexperienced wolves may not know that. In addition, I was one of the four players in the human network last game..... The others were SoulRider (Dead), im_lost (Dead), and TheFenix. Ahhh, a pattern!
Now, I've been a wolf a few times, and generally there's one person making decisions, and the rest of them agreeing or disagreeing. What if, and this is just a theory, the wolves are comprised of newbies and semi-newbies who played last game? Maybe they're doing the old "Shoot the generals first" strategy, but aren't experienced enough to know who to kill?
Look at the very first post of this game. The first thing Fenix points out is that SoulRider was the MVP of the previous game, and that's "obviously" why he was killed. Obvious? His experience is limited (No offense), so he'd view the other members of the human network as the most experienced ones, in addition perhaps to Thansal, who was his enemy last game. Thansal, though, has already been drawing votes (Why wolf someone who might be lynched?), while the only vote against me was Faskalia dropping one randomly at the beginning.
So of course at the end, we run into the old Sicilian problem... Maybe they expect us to figure this out, so staged it intentionally to incriminate <b>TheFenix</b>. Maybe, but maybe not.
As always, you all have to ask yourselves whether I'm just a wolf, but as we all know, "I'm human" is the most useless thing you can say in this game.... So I leave this up to you.
Lunch hour's over... Back to work. PM me on the forum if you want to talk, as I have no IRC access here.
(Oh, and in case the vote gets lost in the huge block of text... Yes, I'm voting for <b>TheFenix</b>)
Well, in the true tradition of a bipartisan vote, I'm seeing two leading candidates, neither of which I would choose as my primary target.
Of course, at this point, I suspect one candidate more than the other, so let's tip the scales toward <b>Faskalia</b>. Fenix, you'll have my vote tomorrow, so don't feel too safe yet <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
I really don't like the fact that Faskalia made that last minute vote while seeminly trying to defend tjosan. Isamil's actions aren't settling well with me either. But I do think <b>Faskalia</b>'s actions are a bit more unstable and "wolfish", so to speak, than Isamil's at the moment.
Aka, I'm voting for Faskalia because of the literally last minute vote change.

<b><i><!--sizeo:5--><span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo-->It is now Night Four: No Posting!<!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec--></b></i>
Daybreak, and the group set out for the village to the south. After their encounter during the previous night with the <b><!--coloro:#FFFF33--><span style="color:#FFFF33"><!--/coloro-->Stalker<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc--></b>, the group knew that they would have little choice but to keep moving, and hope for the best...
At the same time, the <b><!--coloro:#FFFF33--><span style="color:#FFFF33"><!--/coloro-->Stalker<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc--></b> moved underground, slowly carving a tunnel for itself. It could smell fresh air above, but it had to move slowly as it had to dig most of the way up...
Meanwhile, far below the village the group was heading for, a lone man watched a radar screen, and while the village was on it, he could see twelve blue dots moving south, heading toward the village. Muttering, "Well, haven't seen visitors like that in a while...", he climbed a nearby set of stairs...
A few hours later, the group reached the village. However, despite the fact that it looked like a carbon copy of the previous village, this one had an inn which looked like it was in a severe state of disrepair, with an innkeeper who looked like he would murder and rob the group in their sleep. Upon discovering this, they decided that the safest option for them at the moment was to set up camp at the edge of the town, just inside the forest. Before they could set up anything, however...
"Excuse me, gentlemen," the stranger said, either not realizing or not caring about the presence of the two aliens and <b>Ana</b>. He was limping on his left leg, using a staff in his left hand to compensate. His right eye was covered by an eyepatch, and numerous scars could be seen on what little exposed skin he had.
"I see you're not staying at the inn... Might I ask where you're going?" The stranger didn't look like much of a threat, and neither <b>Faskalia</b> nor <b>Planetkiller</b> could sense any magical power coming from the man, so the group started to tell their story from the beginning.
After they were done, instead of the skepticism that the group had expected, the man merely said "Interesting... most interesting...", and turned back to a small house that had served as the mayor's office back in the previous town. The man continued, "May I offer you shelter for the night, as the inn is, in few words, a wreck?"
The group was getting more and more confused. There would be no way for that small house to fit the twelve of them. Curious, however, they followed the man over to his shack. While looking in from the outside they could see rooms and furniture, actually entering the building was a small platform with a control panel next to it.
"Well, come on in, hurry up, I don't have all day." The old man waved everyone else onto the platform, then started pressing various buttons. A second later, the platform started to descend into the ground. "Been a while, it has..."
"What's been a while?" <b>Ana</b> asked the man, "And who are you?"
"In due time, my lady, in due time..." The old man replied cryptically. The rest of the elevator ride down was in silence.
The <b><!--coloro:#FFFF33--><span style="color:#FFFF33"><!--/coloro-->Stalker<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc--></b> was confused. It had finally managed to reach the surface at the end of the tunnel, but now it could sense its prey moving straight down into the planet...
Not knowing what to do, the <b><!--coloro:#FFFF33--><span style="color:#FFFF33"><!--/coloro-->Stalker<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc--></b> did what it knew how to: it started traveling to the south, toward where the group started to descend...
The bottom of the elevator was a large, featureless room with a large blast door. With one look at the group, the man said "Stay here. I need to clear you so the security system doesn't blast you to bits."
Leaving the group on the elevator, the man walked up to the blast door, which opened up for him without a word. After he passed through it, the doors closed once again. The group waited... and waited...
What felt like a few hours passed, before <b>Faskalia</b> said, "Screw this, I'm going in." The rest of the group shouted for him to stay back, but the wizard didn't listen. He managed to get halfway to the door, however, instead of it opening for him, a siren immediately sounded.
"<i>Intruder alert, intruder alert at main entrance.</i>" The computerized voice immediately preceded turrets revealing themselves from the ceiling and walls, armed with machine guns. <b>Faskalia</b> was barely fast enough to set up a <i>Projectile Protection</i> spell before the turrets sprayed him with fire from all directions. Nobody on the elevator moved, knowing that to step out to help would be to invite death.
The turrets stopped firing after a few seconds, however, some of the guns within seemed to flip, revealing large cannons. <b>Faskalia</b> kept up his defensive spell, hoping that it would protect him against the increased firepower. Unfortunately, as the cannons started shooting fire, ice, and lightning-based spells at <b>Faskalia</b>, he quickly found out that <i>Projectile Protection</i> only works on physical projectiles, not energy ones, nor magic.
Before he could react, <b>Faskalia</b> felt his shield fail, at which point the machine gun turrets came back online and started firing again into the wizard. It was only a few seconds, but then <b><!--coloro:#FF0000--><span style="color:#FF0000"><!--/coloro-->Faskalia</b><!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc--> crumpled to the ground, dead.
A few minutes later, the old man came out of the blast door, saying, "Okay, I've keyed you all into the system, and-" he paused, seeing the body of Faskalia on the ground, "Looks like one of you ignored my warnings. Come inside anyway, the security system won't harm you now."
Looking cautious, the group slowly edged off the elevator and, not encountering any turret fire nor other resistance, the group passed through the blast door. The turrets disabled themselves and became seamless with their surroundings once again, just before the blast door closed behind the group.
The group was now in an underground base that reminded <b>Ana</b> of the Checkpoint Nu that she had seen a day before she had died the first time.
"Now then..." The old man said, looking in the four-way intersection, "Rooms are that way," pointing to the right, "and the kitchens are that way," pointing to the left.
"Later, I'd like you to meet me in that room over there," pointing straight forward to the one last door, "and we can discuss how you, as you say you want to do, can get home."
The group looked startled, they hadn't expected the old man to have a way to travel between dimensions! Or was he just playing at them, with some motive behind his actions? The group split up, some heading for the kitchens, others heading for rooms to rest. <b>Ana</b> was the last one to go, however, and was heading for the kitchens when the man stopped her.
"You asked earlier... and I might as well tell you now. The name's <b><!--coloro:#FFFF33--><span style="color:#FFFF33"><!--/coloro-->Zat</b><!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc-->." <b>Ana</b> looked surprised that he would tell her now, but had no chance to respond as the man hurried into the room straight ahead, leaving her to go to the kitchens.
Something was definitely going on here, most of the group thought. However, all they really could do now was wait and see what would happen. The possibility to get home and get back on with their lives was too tempting to pass up...
Although, for a few, it was the option of finishing their conquests that was tempting them to stay...
I was contacted not soon after posting my request for the even seer. This player claims to have seered "im_lost" night 2. Obviously, this did him no good as im_lost was dead soon after. He then contacted me on a whim. I used him to seer E_lost. E_lost came back as a wolf (or the odd seer, if he's telling the truth). This isn't possible based on my knowledge of the odd seer.
After that, I was contacted by E_lost. E_Lost ALSO claimed to be the even seer. In his message, he called out two players (I assume random, if he was lying) as wolves/seers. Now, the interesting part is: he called out the FIRST player who came to me claiming to be the even seer.
So, seer #1 would have to be <b>insanely stupid</b> to seer E_Lost, say E_lost is a wolf, then have him killed.
Options: 1. E_Lost was a human patsy of a fake wolf seer. Once he implicated two other humans, they kill him. A. This would mean Seer #1 is lying AND is in league with the wolves that got E_lost killed. 2. E_lost was a wolf and "took a dive" (letting his team kill him) after implicating two humans. 3. Seer #1 is retarded.... oh yea, and a wolf.
Confused? I sure as Hell am.
I need the psychic (and guardian, but fat chance) on board for this. I think this is the turning point. The only good news is that if E_lost WAS a wolf sacked for his team, we bought another day. But at what cost, I don't know.
Just.. contact me, or something. Seriously, because this is either the greatest wolf plan of all time, or it's being run by circus clowns.

You're grasping at straws.
As of last night, E_lost was my primary suspect for a wolf. Now, I just don't know and I'll be fishing until Sunday with only the possibility of Internet access. So, I guess I'll just vote <b>isamil</b> until I've had time to think things over.

So, I have no idea what is going on at this point.
I have also been AWOL from yesterday, and will probably still be until tomorrow.
If I get the chance to pop on IRC and talk about WTH is going on I will try to. But I don't know when (or if) I will be able too.
For now I am going to ditch a vote on <b>Theslan</b> I don't think he is a wolf, and I doubt people will bandwagon him. So it is really just a placeholder.

The "leads me to believe" comment was in relation to someone from last game being a wolf. The MVP comment was accompanied with the phrase "without a doubt", and you referred to that as "blindingly obvious" at the end of the short post. Go ahead and nitpick, but the meaning of the post seemed clear enough to me.
<!--quoteo(post=1643262:date=Aug 11 2007, 03:39 AM:name=TheFeniX)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(TheFeniX @ Aug 11 2007, 03:39 AM) </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->You're grasping at straws.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> Perhaps. Those of us without a special role are forced to.
You haven't convinced me of anything, Fenix. You're still my primary suspect, and my vote stays.
I was hoping something would come of Fenix's confusing post, but nothing so far. Frankly, that post, is another insane odd plot or some desperate human. The way you jumped all over it <b>Xentor</b> (well, even yesterday i guess) makes me suspicious. Also because you basically ignored the whole post with all his seer info makes me wonder. Would not a human try and decipher it a little bit?
On that note, I like the idea that e_lost took a dive since it would mean one less wolf, but I am really not sure <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" /> IF he did take a dive, I would guess that there is at least 2 wolves left (they wouldn't try such an insane plot with less than 3 to begin with). And plan 1 and 3, well, seem kinda silly to me. I have some slight hope it was a ploy, but really am not too sure.
Fenix, have you had any more info come up? You posted all of that already, any chance we could get an update to see what the heck is going on here?
Honestly, that confused the crap out of me... I've been trying to decipher it, but the more I do, the more it seems like a way to distract attention away from him.
I've received some new information since, though, and I'm still trying to piece things together.
I'm about 99% sure I will not be back before 6pm EST to change votes.
Placeholder vote on <b>Thansal</b>. At this point, I still don't know who to suspect. Too much confusion going on. Can someone please figure out what's going on in this mess?
Ok, rambling posts which I don't re-read do suck, sorry. I'll give you the "it's 2am and I want to sleep" summary. I find you more suspicious Xentor than Fenix and thus your gunning for him makes me even more suspicious of him.
I find Fenix less suspicious because, well, if he concocted that stuff he is telling, he is one pretty stupid wolf.
For the attention of THE GUARDIAN, I need your protection tonight.
As the wolves quite possibly know this already, I may as well state this here. I'm also part of the network, and Fenix will back this up soon as he's back online. We don't have concrete proof of anyone's guilt, so we're going with our best options, theslan, or Isamil as a backup. <b>theslan</b>, in my opinion is the best choice, as he was named by ELost before he died as a wolf (along with the other even seer, but we don't want to kill him now, as we're uncertain which is/was the real seer).
If Elost WAS a wolf, we have 2 extra days anyway - killing the wrong person won't loose us the game.
If ELost was a seer, then killing theslan rids us of a wolf (and the psychic may be able to confirm this for us, if he's alive). It is my opinion that this is the safest option, and that if this is the case, we've probably almost won.
If anyone has any questions, I'll be happy to answer what I can.

For now.

My on-site visit fell through because my co-worker is.... well, he was late. I'll leave it at that. I should be around for end-day.

==================================================
==================================================
==================================================

I've posted my argument already, and as I said, my vote goes to <b>TheFenix</b>. See my post from yesterday.
Ok, time for me to spill:
Options:
I've posted my argument already, and as I said, my vote goes to <b>TheFenix</b>. See my post from yesterday.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->Your argument as it pertains to me:
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->In addition, I was one of the four players in the human network last game..... It also would serve to implicate Thansal and Ana as they know as well how Soul_Rider's plan worked the humans toward victory. Hell, it could even be used to implicate Theslan as he was around to see the entire thing.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->The first thing Fenix points out is that SoulRider was the MVP of the previous game, and that's "obviously" why he was killed. Obvious?<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->For the record: "leads me to believe" != "obviously." Further, my post was made before I talked to E_lost and found out that Soul_Rider had made a night 1 plan to bring both seers and guardian on board for day 1.
You're grasping at straws.
As of last night, E_lost was my primary suspect for a wolf. Now, I just don't know and I'll be fishing until Sunday with only the possibility of Internet access. So, I guess I'll just vote <b>isamil</b> until I've had time to think things over.
Of course it would implicate me if you were the one that nearly got wolfed. I already mentioned Thansal in that same post, if you'd care to read... And Ana was inactive for most of last game. Sure, she may be a wolf, but that doesn't exactly vindicate you.
<!--quoteo(post=1643262:date=Aug 11 2007, 03:39 AM:name=TheFeniX)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(TheFeniX @ Aug 11 2007, 03:39 AM) </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->For the record: "leads me to believe" != "obviously." Now re-read your own post.
<!--quoteo(post=1643262:date=Aug 11 2007, 03:39 AM:name=TheFeniX)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(TheFeniX @ Aug 11 2007, 03:39 AM) </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->You're grasping at straws.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Perhaps. Those of us without a special role are forced to.
You haven't convinced me of anything, Fenix. You're still my primary suspect, and my vote stays.
I've received some new information since, though, and I'm still trying to piece things together.
My suspicions are still mostly <b>Isamil</b> and then Planetkiller, but they're just that: suspicions.
I'm about 99% sure I will not be back before 6pm EST to change votes.

I find Fenix less suspicious because, well, if he concocted that stuff he is telling, he is one pretty stupid wolf.
