Oh noes... my Trekiness is showing:
Star Trek:Enterprise was canceled too early. Sure, the first seasons sucked really hard, but just before it was cut, it started making sense and the stories started to come together. Also, the writers planned to get into the Romulan War later in the show, but now we'll never get to see that... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
<b>THE DINOSAURS</b> - Greatest family comedy of all time, bar none. Middle episodes weren't as good however and show was canceled a while after it recovered 1 <b>Arrested Development</b> Best TV comedy ever (cept maybe the Office) FOX killed it with a bad timeslot and poor advertisement. 2 <b>Harvey Birdman</b> Colbert leaving i think just seemed to them an appropriate time to end it 3 <b>Futurama</b> FOX's poor management again killed it 4 <b>Sealab 2021</b> McChris had other things to do 5 <b>SNL with Will Ferrell and/or Norm McDonald</b> Norm got ousted by the high ups and both are too good for SNL anyway 6 <b>The X-Files</b> Duchovny thought he had a movie career, which he didn't and just never came back. 7 <b>The Norm Show</b> again killed by a terrible time slot (don't think it was FOX this time though but it probably was) 8 <b>Married With Children</b> moved to FOX and ended shortly thereafter because of a ###### time slot. yet again. 9 <b>Star Trek: DS9, Next Generation, Voyager and Original Series</b> Listed in order of my missing them. Somehow I think I'm the only DS9 fan out there but I liked it and grew up watching it. Enterprise sucks, but i will admit I've only seen 2 episodes.
In short FOX sucks hard at keeping good shows profitable. However, with the advent of the DVR many of these shows and FOX's dumb strategy of putting shows up against must see tv or friends would work better because both can be watched. I don't think they understand how committed viewers become to a television show and watching it at a certain time. Then again they probably make more money letting shows die and just making a new one.
What really pisses me off is that for some damned reason they killed every damn show that I liked the same way, moving it into an impossible to win prime-time time slot and just watching it fail. They could at least put it on during day time television and see how it fairs there. One of those stupidly identical shows wouldn't be missed.
edit: heck airing them at 4am would kick ass. also <b>Walker Texas Ranger</b> and <b>The Pretender</b> kicked ass.
2nd edit: FOX had an almost mythologically kick ass 10-12 time slot for quite some. Walker, Pretender, DS9, TNG, Voyager, Outer Limits, and more I know I forgot.... The show hosted by Riker, the quicksilver guy show. <b>Conan, Xena</b>. I'm pretty sure I watched FOX from 10-12 every night for like 5 years.

Ontopic: Saber Rider, there were left out episodes from the Japanese version and it was way too short. (about 50 episodes) And lets not forget that it was one of the shows, that was altered in so many great ways from the original japanese run.

I also started watching "Now and Again", which only lasted one season. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

I liked Voyager (though it's not my favourite). I really liked DS9. To my shame, I haven't actually seen all of TNG (and TOS never really appealed to me).
I don't know, I watched "Space: Above and Beyond" and it was more like one of those, "I don't know why I'm watching this, it isn't all that great" shows.

There's 2/3 straight to DVD Futurama films coming out, the first of which is 'Bender's Big Score' and should be out around the end of November and the new series starts next year.
