    You have purchased and Installed HL right? (play the training mission just to make sure it is loaded).

    Make sure you are pointing the installer at the proper location. Unfortunately I am not at home so I don't remember the naming convention off the top of my head but it is something like:
    Steam\SteamApps\your@email\Half-Life\NS

    see where it is installed to.

    Buying half-life on steam is not enough, unfortunately. You have to launch half-life and run at least one map ( the hazard course/tutorial is the best bet ).

    I already have half-life from the Generations pack (And I downloaded Steam JUST for NS). Does this mean I can't play NS?

    Also, NS's installer won't find Steam. Please help!

    Update: Never mind, fixed it!
