Hello Everyone that still got an interest in NS, NS2 etc...
The site looks really good and I personaly love the new design to both sites..
But.. One thing that does annoy me is those awful old trailers, guys really?!?. Maybe about time to upgrade those to, to atrackt more people again or please just do it so we old NS-Players still think it's cool.. That is the only thing that annoy me..
Redo trailer and i'm happy and more than pleased <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />.. hehe..
btw. me beefcake aka beefi aka Th3bQf writing..
Hope you consider this Flayra, because that movie was really cool and I mean <u>was</u>, but now, not any good it's way to old, but hey that's just my opinion. But i'm sure i'm not the only one thinking that, atleast I hope.. Hehe..
Other than that, it looks good and looking forward to test the new game..
Gl and see you when it comes out <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />.. We'll be keeping my updating about ns here.. so post more, just once a month and i'm happy
However, it didn't take two days...it took a whole lot longer. We've been working on this site for quite awhile and threw out a couple early versions using other software before we ended up writing our own. It took longer, but the it is much easier for us to maintain and we think it's rock-solid. Like someone said, it will really let us focus on our games instead of fighting with site problems!
It feels great to be "redeemed"! That's all due to having Max around now.
The new website looks very good, nice work guys <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

Graphically it's nice, but why does everyone feel they have to redefine how the web works with JavaScript? There isn't much wrong with how the web normally works, and maybe it's just me, but I really dislike the fancy image previews (I'm used to middle clicking to open multiple images all at once with Firefox - this zooming thing is really inefficient).
Other things:<ul><li>I can't figure out how to access any advanced search features.</li><li>I can't figure out how to browse forum users (it took me forever to remember my name).</li><li>The password retrieval (based on email) didn't seem to work.</li><li>The CAPTCHA took me three tries (O's and 0's are almost impossible and one letter was half off the image so I couldn't tell if it was an E or F).</li></ul>I'm sorry to say I've found the whole experience rather frustrating.
I agree that the whole "look, we added a fancy zoom that works differently from the fancy zoom on all the other websites around!" thing is pretty annoying. If it's not faster and easier than the default way images work, then why bother implementing it? It's just another annoyance.

I was gonna say something about this too, (same effect in opera when I middle click) but never got around to it. Maybe stick a "(Fullsize 1300x15bajillion)" text beneath it so people go for the middle click on that... I dunno.
Yeah I had the same issue, should really allow the middle click to work <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

I'm sorry, but I'd say that's another unnecessary implementation. I tried the site with both JavaScript enabled and disabled, it may take the same number of clicks to view the image, but the JavaScript version is much slower. Furthermore, you can't stop the process of viewing the image until the Close button finally appears.
A good example of JavaScript used correctly is GMail. It still has problems, but for the most part it's intuitive and increases productivity.
Wow fantastic new site, the forums look good and ahve for a while but the new website is small sleek and elegant and really fits in well with the ns style.
The image script is again very nice and works well (i hate images opening in their own window)
Just a few graphical issues on the forums which im sure your aware of. Other than that excellent work, keep it up <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
I like the new site. But it should be more cozy like old site <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />
One question though, I cannot comment on the newest post about constallations etc. ...?
Great work guys, I just "came back" from a very long break, and I must say that everything looks very good, and definately think NS will have its re-birth, both the "old one" and NS2.
I even bought a NS server, just to get into the community again, hehe

The profile section that we used to have in the previous version is no longer there. Is it permanently removed?
go NS, looking forward to NS2
<b>*EDIT*</b>
Are you guys planing on adding a Constellation button?
