No servers to play on?

I havent played in a while, on my steam account I have two selections for NS, one used to work:
Natural Selection
&
Natural Selection 3.2 (Beta 2) <--- used to have servers
havent played for such a long time and when I come back theres no servers. there has to be at least one server with people on it I think so the problems gotta be on my side.
I downloaded the most recent update, and installed it even though I did have the current version but I only see 2 servers on the 3.2 beta 2 version and they are both empy.
any help would be appreciated, thanks!

the version is 3.2, not 3.2 beta. There is no patch from beta to full (the beta were in a folder called NSP instead of NS also).
I deleted all the NS files but it still wouldnt give me a list of server, but I come back hours later and its working now
