That is a disgrace, you should be ashamed of yourself <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
And in reply to the gammaramp thing--that's not just related to 64-bit, I had the same problem on my laptop running 32-bit Vista. that and my graphics card sucks anyways <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

Agreed, I have the same problem running on Vista 32-bit.
I've never tried getting it to run on 64-bit. I did get it to run on Linux with wine. I can't get Steam running on wine 64-bit though. It keeps giving me a "Steam is already running" message in the middle of updating. Oh well.
Comments
Only change I had to make was setting cl_gammaramp 0.
