Crashing When Blinking

I had NS for about a year and a half now. As the title said, I've been having this weird problem today. Basically whenever I become a fade and I use the "Blink" attack, the game would crash. And I would have to minimize and use Task Manager to quit the game. I'm not sure if this is the case for Onoses and Lerks. But its weird. It just crashes whenever I press the Last Weapon key.     to be honest, just uninstall, delete the NS directory, and reinstall, it will probably fix it.

    If it doesn't then you know it is a problem with your computer and not related to NS. At that point you need to try and recreate it in other locations, remember WHAT you have changed recently, do a full Malware scan, etc etc.

    Yeah, I'll probably have to do a reinstall <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />.     so back them up.

    Reinstall.

    Install them one at a time.

    If the problrm happens after a reinstall it could also be one of these many modification you have to ns <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

    I doubt the mods are the cause of the problem. Check out this thread:

    I don't have any mods installed, no viruses on my machine, and the same problem started when the latest steam update was pushed.

    Now, I don't know for sure, but if you're running Windows 2000 or any other NT based system, that could be it. Windows NT has given me some trouble with a lot of games, and I think the latest Steam update might have focused more on Vista compatibility, or something. I never used to get this problem.

    It happened to two people I was playing with last night repeadetly. Not every time, but about 3-4 times in about an hour while doing fade practice. Only blinking though.

    Are you getting minidump files in your ns folder? ( .dmp ) If so, send them to me ( harry.walsh at geemail dot comm )

    I don't have .dmp on ns folder but I have lots of .mdmp ones on Halflife forder.
