    You know I have been wondering that too. I remember there being some stories and some of the history and such of the NS universe about before. I do wonder where all that is and how it will be done in NS2.

    you mean the history were the journalist,/ news reporter takes a TSA owned shuttle to a TSA station to interview a high ranked official, he gets a tour around the TSA head quarters with a phase tech and kharra simulation, the whole time hes retailing his story as his shuttle unlocks from the TSA station, only to have the shuttle turn back around just as they undock, as all ships get called back with all crew due to a kharaa attack?.

    yeah had a look around did a search i thought it was actually in the forums some where but alas cant find it , honestly this needs to be brought back some how, and yes a gap filler story between now and then.

    my honestly thought would be the journalist gets conscripted and is actually reporting now from deep inside a infested ship. rough necks style.

    You'll have to use your fantasy and figure it yourself.

    Here is my version:

    There is the infestasion bacteria. The Bacteria likes manefesting inside space ships, stations, bases etc. However humans does not like the infestation. So they burn/kill/destroy it. Bacteria adapts to the humans and evolve into a hive, dispaching aggressive creatures to remove the threat. The aliens does not have a free will and is controlled by the hivemind which is simular to the Zerg Overmind. (the voices you hear is the hivemind giving notifications or orders. "Irradicate the intruders".) However some times the Hivemind communication breaks. And friendly fire occurs. (Retarded team-mates biting on structures).

    The "fanfic" 3 paragraph long stories that were on the OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD manual were pretty awesome too. I guess not enough people cared about the "backstory" stories so they removed it to make the new website simpler.

For the longest time, it went unfinished, so I wrote a second part to it (which can be found here: <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=37376&hl=)" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index....=37376&hl=)</a>.
