    It's probably very similar to how the original sound technicians came up with Chewbacca in the first place.

    Could be real. My experience with squeaking hinges tells me that it could sound like that. I really, honestly don't care whether it's real or fake though. I have <i>important</i> things to worry about. So before you turn this thread into a long and tedious discussion of just why this is or isn't fake, examine your life and consider whether that's really the best use of your time. Thank you.

    Doesn't sound <i>exactly</i> like Chewbacca but there is a resemblance.

    Of course it's real. Why would someone go to all that trouble to make their cupboard door sound like Chewbacca, when it isn't even the same sound? There isn't any great intrigue or anything amazing here, it's just someone with a sqeaky cupboard. Hell, I even had a cupboard that made a similar noise. I guess I missed my chance for quick and easy internet fame.

    Mixing bear sounds is not the same as opening a hinge. Chewbacca's voice came from animals.
