Rock Band!

Thoughts anyone?
So my friend's and I couldn't wait for another of our friends to get the PS3 version of Rock Band, so we came together and bought it for the 360.
I haven't had so much fun since Smash Brothers.
I first saw the song list and it turned me off, but most of the songs are really fun to play. The only song I've played that I didn't like was that awful POS Fall Out Boy track. Other than that the track list is solid, and pretty catchy. I've enjoyed more songs than I honestly thought I would.
There's a lot of teamwork that goes into the game, and considering I've never played a rhythm game before everyone else has to pull my ass out of the fire plenty of times. It's discouraging when you perma-fail because that just leads to the demise of the band, but I'm playing on Hard and Expert when I shouldn't. Using the Overdrive together and just getting general Union Bonuses are hard to keep up. There's plenty of challenge too, and singing is a lot harder that any of us thought and it usually causes us to fail luckily I don't do any. The Metallica Pack is also harder than anything else in the game... a lot harder.
The customization options are great, you can get whatever look you want I wish I could get a screen (Weren't you supposed to be able to upload the band to the Rock Band Site?). It's strange most of the Metal clothing is Glam Metal, but there's plenty of good stuff in the other clothing categories. I haven't messed with the tattoos much but I've toyed with the make-up and it's really open and fluid, you can do anything. Corpse Paint for the win.
Instruments are awesome, but need to be fixed. The Guitar feels great and not "cheap" as many reviews stated. The Effects switch is nice and adds a little added fun to the game, and the strum bar doesn't "click" anymore and has good resistance. Upstrum (Finger style bass) works and has just the right amount of resistance, so actually works well as a Bass. Eventually the downstrum will fail on the guitar and it makes it unusable. Everyone seems to have this problem online. The only damage the drums have had is the red pad (Tom) failing to respond unless it's hit in a sweetspot.
Who else is enjoying the game?
P.S. Check out the Leader Boards for "...And Justice For All," our band "The Pinched Loaves" are 86 surprisingly. We believe it's because hardly anyone's completed that song.

..is out of the question.
I mean, OK Go - Here It Goes Again ?
When you could have f*ing, Megadeth or something? The metal lineup for this game was the saddest yet.

Again, there are so many better songs they could have had. Why not include more than one Weezer song? Foo Fighters song? Why include... ugh... so much of that other sh*?
SO, tl;dr, the game is really good. But the song list, for the most part, is short, and bad.
Here it Goes again is really fun by the way.
* "Maps" – Yeah Yeah Yeahs
* "Next to You" – The Police
* "Orange Crush" – R.E.M.
* "Won't Get Fooled Again" – The Who
* "Brainpower" – Freezepop
what's up with them selling the game by itself? why would you ever want to buy that? I guess just to use your GH controller to play guitar only? how utterly pointless.
I just plugged in the 360 Guitar (it's USB, like the Mic and Drums) to my PC, and it's actually read as "Harmonix Guitar Controller" and works with Frets on Fire and such. There's potential for a make-shift Rock Band on PC I'd think!
Also, finally got a set for home today. It pays to have friends that will let you know right away if something cool like this is sitting on a shelf somewhere.
So I'm gonna do Medium Guitar and singing. WORLD TOUR BABY
But in the meantime: I beat Medium Difficulty with the drums, moving up to hard and starting to have fun now. For the record, the song "Green Grass and High Tides" sucks ass. Seriously, 10 minutes of boring country music with a half-ass 5 minute long guitar solo. Sucks worse than Metallica(I hate ######ing Metallica. Bad music, but, very fun to play).
By far my favorite stuff is Rush, Boston, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and the Rolling Stones. Radiohead and Queens of the Stone Age are close though(which is funny because I'm a *huge* QOTSA fan, and the song that comes with the game is excellent, and the DLC ones are too).
My biggest problem right now is offbeats. I'm handling the kickpedal fine now that I have the set far enough away from me, at this point its just a matter of getting used to offbeats.
The best way I've found to get better is to find a song you like, and play it on the next hardest difficulty. Usually that is hard enough that it'll get you through your difficulty just fine.
BTW: I am ######ing Thom Yorke.
You should probably clarify this somewhat. The mind wanders...
Let me put it like this:
Expert Guitar
Expert Vocals
Same Time
5 Gold Star
Radiohead
Creep
Thank you
SO, tl;dr, the game is really good. But the song list, for the most part, is short, and bad.

They only put select songs on there so you have to buy the others when they come out as Downloadable content(Jukebox Hero). It's all about the money, don't forget <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
Wow, your drum training is useless for a rhythm video game? Now you're going to say those ballet lessons aren't going to help at all for DDR! This is madness.
I would think drum training would be more relevant than ballet lessons.
Drum training would mean you should have a good ear for rhythm, though since PvtBones did them when he was younger he may not realize how much of an advantage he has over someone like me who didn't learn an instrument at all until freshman year of college...
I haven't tried rock band, though I have heard from anyone that has played it that it is the most fun they've ever had etc...
I really wish there was a guitar hero game that used a midi guitar so that it would actually be a "learn to play guitar" video game.
If you think it's out of sync, theres an option to calibrate for television lag. The game was pretty much impossible to play on my friend's television before we calibrated.
As for complaints on the setlist. I've found that with every guitar hero game and rockband, I end up liking most of the songs after i play them. Also, even if you don't like the song, you can still enjoy playing them.
