<div class="IPBDescription">what do you think...</div>Hey, I'm brucey, i've joined NS2 <!--coloro:#F4A460--><span style="color:#F4A460"><!--/coloro-->(the community)<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc--> for awhile now and haven't posted at all till now. I've been working on Art of NS2 <!--coloro:#F4A460--><span style="color:#F4A460"><!--/coloro-->(fan art)<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc-->, but to be honest, i have never played this game. And have no idea what the monsters look like. I've looked on the internet for ideas and art and what the monsters look like and made some of my own. Hope you like, but its not a suggestion, more like ... Fan art <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />.

This one is a Hive of the Infestation. But when i saw what it actually looked like on NS1, it was a whole lot different.

Had a little fun on this one. But not much, its just the egg that comes out of the hive. Spawns..

Also, scanner doesn't help much but its the only thing i have right now. I am working on the Infestations, Onos/Fade/Lurker/Gorge.. So ... what do you think of them..? And thanks for reading. Also, was this the right topic to put here?

    Just to clarify to me -- you're part of the NS2 art team?

    Looks great, The egg is nice but the real winner is that hive, the spikes look so awesome!! Absolutely great work man, these really are nice concepts, I hope you do get on the art team.

    They're 'ok'.

    They certainly don't have the polish of J's incredible work, but that isn't to say that you couldn't draw shapes from it.

    Before I would even think about attempting concept art for a game, I'd do some very heavy-duty research on that game including playing it, reading the backstory, reading what the devs are planning, etc etc.

    I think if you got a tablet/copy of photoshop from...somewhere, then I think if you got proficient, then you'd have something that looks really great.

    Your sketches remind me of the sketches that J posted from scans from his notebook where he spent five minutes per model on (or some ridiculously low amount of minutes), except yours are a bit more fluid. And certainly, they're very clean. I like them. Keep going w/ it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />. How old are you btw?

    Maybe you should go to art school?

    Ah thanks for the comments guys, I've done a lot of art these days, well, i do art everyday. (its my thing) I'm only 16. And about the art team, it be pretty cool to be working on it... though schools been getting to me. I'm in art class, does that count <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />?

    I'm pretty sure theres an age limit to the team. but anyway thanks for the feedback and more pictures will be up and to your likings. I used to have photoshop, but when we moved it disappeared... (no clue how). So i will be making it by hand and sketches. Thanks again

    He's not part of the Dev team, just to keep it straight. I added some clarification to his first post.

    Good job on the artwork brucey. I'm curious how you stumbled across the community and the NS universe without having played the game?

    Hello. I am back. Gone for awhile and seen much progress that has been done or.. talked about. Podcasts were great to listen to. Especially about the glowies and the hives. Even about an Alien commander that has been given some thought. Even the questions which were answered.

    For a new NS player like me.. because I did not play NS1... I'm thinking about playing it but do not have the money yet for HL1. Unless someone will tell me how i get an very old HL1 which was made before steam came out. You know.. the Sierra. I have HL1, but its a very old one. And I it seems like i have to get it again for Steam.

    As you know many have seen this thread, seen the art I've done. Got lil replies from it. I just wanted to bring this back up as I am getting some new material. Making more "creatures".     If you've got the HL1 Sierra version with a valid CD key even if it's old, you can just download Steam and then use the CD key to get HL1 on Steam. Then you need to download NS and you're good to go. I've seen HL1 for like $10 - $15 in the bargin bin at a few game stores. Save your lunch money!
