Spore release date announced
<div class="IPBDescription">first newsletter sent out</div>40 minutes ago, the first Spore newsletter was sent out, and apparently there's a new video on the site with the official release date.
However, I can't get the video to play because quicktime performs an illegal operation. Maybe the site is just getting hammered at the moment.

edit: or, conversely, this may be EA's way of saying "*ahem* release the damn game already whether it's done or not, we're not letting you wait any longer", as they are wont to do.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Hi, I’m Will Wright and I’m working on a new game called Spore™. You’ve heard of it? Oh, that’s right, you signed up to get the Official Spore Newsletter. According to my notes, we haven’t sent a single newsletter out. Maybe that’s why I’ve been hearing from so many fans wanting some new information on Spore.
While we finish up the game over the next few months, we’ll be sharing more information with you and other fans. As a newsletter subscriber, you’ll be among the first to get new Spore information, screenshots, videos and other cool features from the Spore team. Check out our launch date teaser, and of course you can visit Spore.com for updates anytime.
Thanks again. You’ll hear from us soon.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Best birthday ever! I can drink, AND Spore.
So wait a month, then check different forums and then decide whether you are going to buy a half-finished product, or the messiah of games!
AFAIK, he's the only holy cow in EA.
Woot. Finally.
Paintings are art; they evoke deep emotions in most and can take people to other places. Same goes for music. Some games are art, but this game isn't one of them. This is just a game that's got a lot of cool technology behind it but nothing more.
Is anyone else interested in the DS version of the game? I'm probably going to get it rather than the PC version. I'm just hella interested in seeing what they can do on the DS hardware.
