Trying to trophy the Ridleys is getting to be annoying. Mostly because those damned bob-ombs/"smart" bombs keep appearing and blowing them up while I'm waiting for a trophy stand to drop.
That or the meager 2-minute limit on the second fight runs out without a single stand dropping. Argh.
Edit: Also, what NOT to do on the Distant Planet...

Did you use a capture card or convert the screenshot file?

The former. Quality could be a bit better, alas, but it does the trick.
I haven't been able to get online with any of my Wii games that use it(Guitar Hero 3 or Brawl), I'm probably going to have to get a new router, mine doesn't seem to save them when I tell it to forward ports.
I like playing Ike, Lucas, and Olimar though <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

The only way of getting some one up to 999 that I know of is the fan....
Or is that some aspect of 15 min brawl? (I haven't tried that mode out yet, just endless to do the 30 (?) man kill)

Two Lucarios, have them back to back, pin the alloys between that Aura Ball of theirs (Neutral B). They'll just jump into it and be combo-ed for eternity unless an item breaks the chain. (Bob-ombs, "smart" bombs, freezies, deku nuts, gooey bombs, explosive crontainers from what I've seen)

Oh man, Boss Battles all relies on a single move. It turns out some moves do chunks of damage (like Pit's Forward and A in the Air) and are easily spammable. One move takes the cake...
Charizard's Rock Smash (Forward+B).
While smashing the rock does a healthy amount of damage itself the many flying pieces chip the hell out of a Boss' health. Using 4 well placed Rock Smashes will kill Master/Crazy Hand. My friend and I went through it on Very Hard with two Charizard's and beat it in under 2 (or 3) minutes.
Just finished SSE, though it felt kind of disappointing at the end. The last boss horrible with attacks that one shot unless you did a perfectly timed dodge, and the inclusion of sonic was.. well, it felt tacked on. Hell, the entire last level was 2 hours reminded me of the triforce sequence in Wind waker, throwing the player needlessly back through numerous areas they'd already cleared for no real purpose outside of adding played time, but not actually anything truely enjoyable. I guess they didn't get the memo after Portal :/ Overall, I felt the melee adventure mode was better, with the side-scrolling sequences more spaced apart and just good old fashioned SSB battles making up a large portion. Well, that and because it didn't take 6 hours to get through the first time

And the whole Sonic in Brawl decision was late into development, that's why he seems a tad out of place. He also has the fewest rearrangements I believe.

I found the half-assed 'adventure' portion of melee to be much better because it excelled in its half-assedness. Sure, it was half-assed, but you could play through it in a matter of minutes. There was no frustration, or "why the hell am I still doing this?" as it simply didn't last long enough for that to occur. It was a simple and fun distraction. A couple of side scrolling portions strung together by a handful of standard battles, both normal and 'event' types (Giant Donkey Kong and Metal Mario Brothers for example)
SSE on the other hand is very much the same thing, however its been stretched out from 30 minutes to 6 hours. The side-scrolling portions make up a large bulk of this monstrosity and simply aren't that good. As you said, its a multi-player game, and to me the side-scrolling doesn't really fit well into it. In Melee these sections were a nice change of pace, in Brawl however they overstay their welcome within the first 30 minutes. This is multiplied near the end of the game when large portions are simply copied from earlier in the game. Really, the last level is just a mechanism for having the player fight a clone nearly every character in the game. Honestly there is no reason why a linear progression of fights on this couldn't have worked there, and worked better. Hell, they don't even need to do linear progression, they could just throw them all at you at once, as per the fighting polygon brothers in the original SSB.
Overall, I feel the adventure modes in Melee and Brawl are quite similar, featuring a lot of the same concepts. Side-scrolling, event battles, mazes and a very loose plot. The large difference is that Brawl is roughly 12 times the length with about twice as much content. The concept just got stretched too thin to work.
I dunno, I enjoyed emmisary. I think you people have fallen into the hype trap, never to return again. Then again, I also enjoyed the most recent kirby game because the entire plot consists of "Kirby lost his cake. KIRBY MAD. KIRBY HAS TO KILL SOMEONE!!!!! DON'T STEAL KIRBY'S CAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!". Your mileage and sanity may vary.
I liked Subspace well enough myself. Not ga-ga over it, but well enough that I completed it and am trying to get up to 100% in bits and pieces. Don't know how I'm going to finish boss battles, though. I can't beat it on Hard, never mind Intense. Bothersome.

We still don't have it here.
Nintendo seem to think we're still in the early 90's, and pulling stunts like this doesn't put people off. *Sigh* Alas, thanks to the kid hype, it's probably true, it'll not make a dent in their sales at all.
"We'll just not tell them that the game is already out in other parts of the world. They'll be none the wiser! After all, it's not like they can instantly send messages between each other no matter where in the world they are or similar science fiction stuff."

I just imported it, and use the Wii freeloader. Which has been mentioned several times in this thread. Did I mention its a tenner and also completely legal, and also doesn't require any hardware modification? Thought so...
The game is sex, don't let the MAN tell you when you can play brawl, all the cool kids are using the freeloader, are you a cool kid or not?

I've only ever played the N64 smash a little bit. I think I'm going to stick with samus for a while until I get my bearings.
