    Haha. Seconded.

I can't believe they tried to pass those off as office spaces.. I'm amazed.

Why did you reject the one with the wheel? You could have decorated it so it looks like a real NS piece in your office <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/nerd-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::nerdy::" border="0" alt="nerd-fix.gif" /> Loved the giant gear you should have bought it and turned it into a coffee table! LOL

Hope the new space works out!

The pic on the far left looks like it was done in hammer.

What? I'm not suggesting a secret room. What ever gave you that idea?

Aww... I'm still listening to the previous podcast, but I guess those pictures aren't from your new office?
    How sad.
I for one think those places, while needing a lot of work, would be incredibly conducive to creative thought and a very great working environment.

Doh! I'm not at a location where I can listen to it right now. I will d/l it right away to my flashdrive though and listen to it tonight.

Thanks so much for these weekly updates!

    Cruise control RULES!

I deployed it at customer site.
sweet for tight little tests like you are talking about.

can you run tests on your LUA code?

finally that gigantic gear is too memorable.
it should show up in one of the maps...like in a junk area or something
    be a hilarious in-joke.

    keep plugging guys

Oh wow....the pic with the gear has THE CLAW at the bottom. How much ya want for it? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/nerd-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::nerdy::" border="0" alt="nerd-fix.gif" />

GL on finding a more suitable place though.

    I cannot recognise why the cog wheel is there ? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

  • HarimauHarimau Join Date: 2007-12-24 Member: 63250Members

congratz on the new office space, best of luck.

I think the gear should be in a map, make it something you have to weld to turn on lights in some area or to lower the water level.

Oh that'd be great! Easter Eggs hidden in the levels or "emotes" (medpack calls and whatnot,) about some of the funnier parts of the NS2 Development. Like say someone makes an official map where outside a window, you can see a "trade lane" and 2 feet away there's an onos ass sticking out of a airlock that it clearly shouldn't have tried to get into in the first place. Maybe even having a level where locked in a seperate part of marine start there's junk laying around, and every once in awhile you hear loud voices arguing over ambience, with a sign above it... you can guess where I'm going with that one. Sorry, finding "in jokes" that could exist are just something I have a nack for...

I don't know why, but this podcast got me extremely excited for NS2/UW again. That or it could be I found out today me and Max have something in common amongst the people(s) we know. Definately the former for sure though. I can't wait to hear more about the NS2 Team and even from some of the soon-to-be team members eventually. We all know you'd shoot them if they told us you only let them out of their cages at night.

Your unit test during compile sounds amazing. I wish I had that at work here, it would probably preempt half of all of the STRs.

And yes NS2 needs a Cog/Wheel Room. Or just a secret room that's a garage with the wheel prominently displayed.

I was reading <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/about" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/about</a> and it mentions that they moved into their office in April(which would have to have been in the last 6 days). Was that reported anywhere else?
