Something about the word "serverroom" makes my geeky senses tingle in the crazy way. Cool prison. Much better than the one I stayed in har har. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/nerd-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::nerdy::" border="0" alt="nerd-fix.gif" />

Needs some multi-monitor gaming set up on those monitors. Stickman commands it.
Are you going to get an elaborate and cryptic tattoo of all the work you've done so on the off chance your brother gets arrested for a crime he didn't commit you can get yourself arrested and break him out?
Nice photos, that is some good looking hardware (and some intimidating fence 'n razorwire)

I took about 150 pictures today. I resized and resampled them, then cut out the crappy ones an saved them to <a href="http://www.tjhowse.com/prisonpix/prisonpix.rar" target="_blank">this</a> rar file. I put all the videos into <a href="http://www.tjhowse.com/prisonpix/prisonvids.rar" target="_blank">another</a> file. Here are a few choice ones:
<img src="http://www.tjhowse.com/prisonpix/prisonset2-05.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> One of my babies. This PLC that controls a ton of cells and doors. I <3 it.
<img src="http://www.tjhowse.com/prisonpix/prisonset2-07.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> If there's a riot they drop those big bi-fold doors down to separate the three thirds of this cell wing.
<img src="http://www.tjhowse.com/prisonpix/prisonset2-42.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> They get a big monitor to watch movies and TV, and some not-very-comfortable chairs.
These are all from cells:
<img src="http://www.tjhowse.com/prisonpix/prisonset2-11.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> Bed! Not very comfortable. You can see their intercom panel there. They can call the master control office or listen to the radio (two set channels). The master control can, at any time, listen to the cell without any external indication of them being listened to. Nifty. Creepy, but nifty.
<img src="http://www.tjhowse.com/prisonpix/prisonset2-18.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> Toilet, mirror and sink, all made of stainless steel. Everything in the cell is designed such that you cannot hook a bit of wire or rope over it to hang yourself.
<img src="http://www.tjhowse.com/prisonpix/prisonset2-20.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> A shower head.
<img src="http://www.tjhowse.com/prisonpix/prisonset2-21.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> A camera and a reflective dome that allows someone outside the cell to see every corner of the inside. The camera also does the same job.

They're big, serious locks. You can see the lock tongue there and another knob above it. That's the lock sense. The door won't read as secure to our system unless the tongue is out, the lock sense is in and the reed switch says the door's closed. It's damn hard to fool.

My prison officially <a href="http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/story/0,23739,24005728-3102,00.html" target="_blank">opened</a>! It's had prisoners in it for a few weeks now, but it only just properly opened. No breakouts yet!

Hey, i was wondering that with so many pics of a prison, will it be a security breach or something. Or like you'd get into trouble if one of the prison people found these photos. Just being concerned.

Yeah he'd have to have a link in his signature to tjhowse.com or there would have to be a post on some website explicitly pointing it out or something else unlikely.
