<div class="IPBDescription">It's incredible.</div>Just go see it. I don't know how Pixar will be able to top this one. It took my breath away scene after scene. In some moments I started to tear up at the sheer lyrical beauty of it. I kid you not. Just go see it.

just go see it
As you might guess there's minimal dialog and the artists were forced to be very creative with robotic body language and some vocalization.
Isn't that how all of Pixar's stuff is? They lace it with grown-up fun so it's good for entire families.
I have seen it, and it is wonderful. It's got Space Odyssey references too. The part when the ship lists to the side was hilarious.
Pixar has managed to hold their place as the only studio to never make a film I don't enjoy greatly.

that was what convinced me to go see it actually.
It takes place 1000 years after armageddon, and it stars an adorable robot. It's also <a href="http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/wall_e/" target="_blank">incredible</a>. Go see it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
I think the most incredible thing about it is how perfectly it nails the tone. It's a post apocalyptic movie in which the earth is uninhabitable and the remaining humans are sluglike consumerist caricatures living out their days in space, but the movie treats the subject with such tenderness that it's never vindictive or off-putting. The humans aren't evil or stupid, they're just innocent, naive. Wall-E is a bit of a packrat, collecting all of the human artifacts that he thinks are neat, and the simple joy he takes in an egg-beater or a rubik's cube softens the scene perfectly. In spite of the fact that the entire planet is overrun by our junk, a lot of the junk is really cool. It's these touches that make it an honest look at humanity instead of a diatribe.
I should add though, that these exquisite bits are just a backdrop for the love story, which is even better.
And I agree with Boojum. I've loved every Pixar film so far (although Finding Nemo is my least favourite). Shame it doesn't get released in the UK until 18th July <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
Near the ending, at one scene, the entire theatre was holding their breath and collectively sighing in relief at the fate of the robot, a freaking robot, I knew Pixar did it again.
Great movie!

<span style='color:#000000;background:#000000'>Of course the interesting side to this whole situation was that they obviously had a sustainable method of living right there on the ship. (one must wonder where they obtained the mass to replace all that stuff they threw out into space though). Though generation of the sedentary life style was the lack of need to do anything to sustain their own lives. Wasn't the number one killer retirement?</span>

That sums it up for me as well. Beautifully crafted movie!
Best CGI Movie ever.
One of the best Animated movies ever
..Hell one of the best movies of the decade. It's that damn good.
TLDR:
SEE THIS MOVIE OR A RABID JACKAL WILL EAT YOUR FAEC.
And I laughed because it is true, though I've never seen it.
Spoiler Alert:
The main robot dies later after the credits from electro gonherea, the noisy killer. (lol futurama)
