I am glad you didn't let Tekdude buy for himself as he got me both Prince of Persia games since he claimed they were too cheap.

*mad huggles for Tekdude* It was an early Christmas morning feeling to wake up to seeing that!

if you will do this again next year than I recommend this site: http://www.gog.com/
(games cost 5.99 or 9.99, no more, no less, so setting a price range wouldn't be problematic)

I already recommended that site! It's a pretty awesome place. They've got a sale on Fallout, Descent, Freespace, and other stuff going on right now. Great time to buy gifts. It's all DRM free and works on modern computers and everything.

cool that they went trough all that coding swamp to make all the old games vista and XP compatible

That's the plan, although most of the games right now were pretty simple fixes for them. They intend to go through that work for every game, though, to make it real easy for everyone. Cool stuff.

Thanks.

Next year we could make it buy some one a digital download of a video game so gog would work.

I feel like i should post pictures that describe this.

my fail train continues, the Steam store page is now down. =[

EDIT: it's back up, but still won't let me make a note to send to the recipient...
EDIT2: am I the only one having problems?

Mister Awesome, aka Confused, bought me Psychonauts. The invite is sitting in my gmail account, taunting me until I can get back home and play it.

Woo!

Oh man. One of the best games evar in terms of writing. Some weird platforming issues in the later levels, but sublime game nonetheless.

Sweet deal, spellman!

Although I thought Steam would alert me to the gifts somehow.

You can either opt to send the gift straight to a steam account, this means you must have that person on your friends list, or you can send the gift in an email in the form of an activation link that prompts the clicker to enter their steam information to add the game to their list.

Man, with all these deals out, maybe next time we should wait to buy the day after Christmas.

Then, with the saved $$$, you can gift a little something extra!!!
