Right, upgrade thread time. Have about £1000 to spend I reckon. Was aiming for at least an i7, RADEON 4870X2 and ridic fast overlocked 4 gig of memory. I need a brand new HD, motherboard and case as well. Go go forum techies!

    In general, computer and computer part costs decrease over time. You'd be better off holding your cash until your ready to spend it all. You'll probably spend a bit less that way.

    Possible, but the Pound has literally been Pounded in the ground, I do not know how much it has manifested into the UK computer parts prices.

    Here's my tentative math

    Take the kingstons ram

    Newegg price: 119.99$ * 1,05 because newegg is cheaper in general
    Misco price: 93.90£

    126/94 = 1,32 dollar per pound

    Current exchange rate between $ and £ is 1,42
