Do you feel it's tensioned being independent or do you find it more relxaing and enjoy the freedoms. Did you ever worry that the UWE project was to risky to do?
What pros and cons do you experience with the development blog? Are there any drawbacks with the work put into it? (Making and breaking expectations, revealing to much vs. revealing to little.)

Aww it's probably too late for me to ask...
I want to know when the NS2TR is coming out <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
I was getting an error message from the aduio player plugin "file could not be found". If you get the same error, just open the file manually from: <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/files/ns2/UnknownWorlds-Podcast-27.mp3" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/files/ns2/Unk...-Podcast-27.mp3</a> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />
Thanks for the well spoken answers! One of the things that I have been really pleased with over the course of development for NS2 is how well you have been keeping us informed. From the early audio/video casts, twitter et cetera it really is great to know that the company developing a game cares about its community.
Some highlights that I thought were the most interesting.
1. Babblers are coming back in the form of an AC ability 2. Gorges are no longer the primary builders 3. You can customize the game as deeply as you want, even make an RPG (role playing game) 4. Unknown worlds is planning on releasing an expansion pack possible with new aliens 5. Consties will most likely get beta/pre-order privileges
SAFE! My question got answered... nice to hear you are still going to give out the NS2TR and its good to hear you feel you are more than 50% done!
So now all we have to do is work out how long you have been working on this game for and times it by 2, that will give us a release date... LOL!
So in 3 years time? Or... if you go from when you changed engines, about a year... <b>So we hopefully have between a year and 3 years to wait till NS2... How does that sound?
I'm guessing within the next year we will see the release of the NS2TR. If I am right, you better quote me on this!</b>

Hey Flayra/Max, Thanks for answering my question- and sorry for the sarcasm in the other thread... we all know you guys will deliver. Thanks, keep it up!
Noooo! You started to answer my question, and I got all excited! Then you guys cut out. Totally denied. If you guys could maybe edit in the answer on that question into the newspost or something that'd be cool.

Could you make another Q&A podcast in some Euro friendlier way some time in the future? I don't think that many euros are browsing the site at midnight.
The info was good too, I found many of the answers I was looking for in the answers to other people's questions.
I'm very interested about this idea of the skulk being the stock soldier. For a long time I have felt the aliens lacked a baseline unit that was easily understood and used by all. I also liked that you're drawing inspiration from L4D. That game has done first person ranged vs melee extremely well.
"I know with KungFuSquirrel working off-shore on the B.U.S." was what he was trying to say, followed by a detailed information what this BUS is. Apparently some bigger power was cutting Charlie off. The time has not yet come for us to know this secret. But it will, my friends.. It will.
the discrepancy between Flayra's and Max's statements about the technology level of the game, is it because the game engine is state of the art but the game will not be state of the art because you guys want people with weak computers to play it because weak computers outnumber good computers.
Could you give us a notice a day or so in advance next time you do something cool like this. Looking at the posts, I'm seeing that I'm not the only one that had missed this event due to sleeping in. Please take pity on the tired. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="???" border="0" alt="confused-fix.gif" />

Max is elbows deep in an engine he's building with his bare hands. He knows what's under the hood, and what <i>will</i> be under the hood later on. Flayra is working with Matt & Cory on the rest of the car. When asked how technologically advanced their car is, the first thing Max might have thought of is the turbo he's been planning to fit to the engine. Flayra on the other hand may just got back from testing the chassis in a wind tunnel, and might have been thinking about how the car won't be as aerodynamic as he had hoped.
They may well have a good idea of what the other has been up to, but what they've been working closest to is what is most likely to spring into their minds when asked difficult or vague questions about the entire game as a whole. The upshot of this is that we get to extract information from their answers (like you have done in the post I quoted) simply by being aware that they're talking about different things! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

The answer to that question probably didn't survive the editing process quite as well as some of the others. Plus Charlie doesn't know anything about technology...

Pick one or two:
One: Do you have even a remote guess as to when you are going to release NS2?
or
Two: What percent are you with the game? 50% - Most code, some graphics, 75% - Testing code, placeholder graphics, 95% - playtesting

Please fix the last few mins of the podcast though!
WHAT IS THE B.U.S.â„¢!!!!!!!

at roughly the 19:09 mark, "I know with KungFuSquirrel working off-" gets cut off.
So what did I miss? Anyone else have the same problem?
Edit: looks like other people did have the same problem.
Finally my question was responded!
Thank you guys, I really appreciate it!
Pity I missed prime asking time.
