If you translate everything in a MP game, like NS or NS2, especially when you are dealing with a rather small community. You only seperate them further.
You see, when I join a spanish NS server today and the comm says "Hive Cargo Bay" I know whats going on. I played on servers across europe and you can play there and be an effective palyer, cause the locations/item/enemy/building names are all the same.
"Los macht den Hive in Cargo Bay platt." Although you dont speak german you got the most important info: There is a hive in Cargo Bay! "Los macht den Schwarm in der Ladebucht platt." I doubt, that you will now know that there is a hive in cargo bay. Another example: "Die haben einen Fade" Well, seems like the enemy team has a fade or will be having a fade soon. You again, got the most important part of the info. "Die haben einen Verwelker" Well, good luck.
Thus said: Keep entity names the same for every localized version of NS2 and only translate a manual (with entity names in english) at most.

Prepare for the battle between "Koloniale Küstensturmtruppe" and the vicious Khaara. See a "Weltraumkuh" eat a "Turbinenrucksackküstensturmtruppler" and watch as the "Verwelker" dissapears in front of you, just to cut your buddys "Schwere Rüstung" in half.
