<div class="IPBDescription">Some like them, some don't. Your thoughts?</div>Just wondering if anyone knew if they were changing this in natural selection 2. Corpses do add to games, but they also can take away. One thing i like about corpses, is the fact that you can tell if a huge battle has just taken place. A marine slumped against a wall with two dead skulks metres from him, oozing green blood. And blood splatter. If you get a few shots into a skulk, some blood is left behind on the wall, even if the skulk doesn't die. I don't wanna go so far as to the fact that corpses break when shot, and you can shoot limbs off etc, cause then things get a little bit messed up, but definately bodies lieing around. They could disappear 10 seconds after the player respawned.
On a side note, another element of this could be that the dead are used kinda like shield if you catch my drift, although this would really only work in the case of an onos, and it would be very hard to implement. I.e. You can't shoot through the onos but you can run through it to get past? Hmm
This would probably up the rating of the game, but in the end, it's probably gonna have a 18+ anyway.

the circle of his friends, then the mass of pilled up skulk bodies, just lumbs meat now, they got ripped apart from the blazing storm of lead, and some even got splattered on the walls, cought in the explosions of the squads GL gunner, the whole corridor was covered in blood, the walls, the floor, the ceiling. the distinct sound of claws in ventshafts are to hear, and the Radio massage from the marines helmet flew through the corridor, reporting a Fade in this sector, but the Marine didnt run, It was too late for that.</i>
imagine that. would make a pretty good artwork.
Vote yes.
edit: darktimes, if you're really sorry for your bad english you wouldn't use the word "Jes" <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" /> It's "Yes". I know you have a Y key.
15-25 seconds is better, imo
So probably even less than NS1. Or about the same.
And about ERSB ratings, honestly, how many 12 years old with a PS3 and GTAIV or Gears of War do you guys know?

Too many TBH.
Gib count includes broken wood, broken glass, blood stains, and so forth.
UWE, bring gore please, alot of it so that we can have a more mature game expierience.

they want money and a large market. and if you haven't noticed NS is still full of 12 year olds, somehow.
How rude!
Imagine a corridor, maybe two humans wide. An Onos dies in the center. You would have to bring in a GL to clear it or just simply wait for the body to despawn. Sounds like this would take away as much as it would add to the game.

I'm hoping that in NS2, you are on the large part, if you head straight back there, able to save your gun and ammo. Hoping it is like CSS in the sense that when you drop your gun, it becomes just another object that bounces when it hits the ground and can be moved around when shot/chomped etc.
Would be funny to see an alien after killing you, chomping your gun into a dark corner so you can't find it when you run back. Little bits and pieces like how much is left over after a fight, i feel add a great deal to the atmosphere in a game.

As a lifeform I remember thinking it lasts forever. If there are other marines nearby it is pretty much guaranteed to be picked up.
