About the only thing wrong with the ingame one is the fact half the time it doesn't log in correctly and I have to either wait for 30,000 servers to refresh, or restart Halflife. ASE just seems do do everthing the ingame browser can do, plus some extra neat stuff.
Generally I find 400 servers of NS using the internal, but with a filter that was makes sure that the servers are responding and there are people I usually get 200 or so which is quite good really nice amount to choose from especially when alot of them are near full capacty of players.
using ASE at 6.25pm GMT, there are 593 servers and 2485 players worldwide. it's so nice having players for a mod, it gives you a chance to have fresh games with new people all the time. When I played FLF, I used to have to suffer with FLF's tiny community and play the same people & maps over and over - got very dull, very quick ( as a comparison FLF has 34 servers and 40 players worldwide at this time ).
ASE makes it all so easy, people who still use the ingame browser should try it out and see how much better off they'll be.
(oh yeah, on topic, theres plenty of servers )

Bob-o's got loads of bandwidth left for the month, and his site doesn't seem like it's going back up to it's full stature any time soon.
The advantage of ASE over Gamespy is that ASE is more stable and takes less ram. Whenever I ran Gamespy Arcade, it tended to crash, and eat all of my ram when it didn't crash. ASE = simple, stable, and useful

Well, you can easily copy and paste IPs from ASE, which was a hassle with the in-game browser. That and it updates faster, which means it's easier to find a good half-empty server, too.
..only works with HL and its mods, ASE works with a LOT of games .Well i dont want it to tell me UT2003 games when i want to play NS do i? True, but it also means you can use the same, reliable software when you switch to some other game later on. For example, ASE is a WHOLE LOT better than the ingame browser for BF1942, especially before the BF1942 1.1 patch. It's just helpful like that ^_^
..is constantly updated .The ingame one doesnt need to be. The ingame browser WAS updated a few patches ago, I believe. It requires a full Half-Life patch to do it, though. Also, with the ingame one, you have no reliable way to tell NS 1.01 from NS 1.03, and version information is the kind of thing that ASE keeps updated (and can filter) (and yes, you can look in the name, but can the ingame one even filter by name? I forgot ^^; )
..and has some very good filters (like filter by country) .But then i wont be able to met people from strange and different cultures. Yes, but pings in your continent are ALWAYS better than pings from others. I find it's much easier to find a good public server with having the only-North-America fliter on. On the other hand, just flip on the "Germany" filter, and meet some germans

A little less than was usual during the first two weeks, but I guess that had to be expected.
