<div class="IPBDescription">please UWE say yes :(</div>There tons of games without a real loading animations and First Person.
Will you do a real animation, like mag out, grab a new one from body (first person and see the "fake" body), put it in, take back the slide, ready to shoot?
Can you put a real or Fake first person like in crysis? (a good example) i know a real first person is a big deal, because you need to match the animations, but why not a fake first person?
if you look down, you see your legs and your body (very cool if you play female marine <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" /> )
No realy, in crysis its like, your first person model is the body without a head, because it can make problems.
Please add a fake first person, it gives a big point to atmosphere.
[yes im not english, sorry about my horrible english text.]

The HMG did realistic reloading, even c0cking the weapon at the end.
I'm abit confused on this 'fake' 1st-person, as I don't play Crysis, Picture please?

yes, (mostly) every first person shooter has a fake first person, that means you only see the extra weapon model, not the real model everybody else see.
In crysis, you see a fake first person model too but its the whole body, so you "think" its the real third person model who everybody else see, but its not, its a player model, which only you see.
Oh man im so long out of english forums, i can't realy do correct texts <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
lol that was mean... perhaps he can change models and see himself in a bikini or lingerie? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
Now really, I think this has already been discussed but, never the less, I like the idea. Realism is a good choice there.
This usually isn't an issue unless you should be able to see the rest of your body, which is how most of the games get around this issue, you assume they can't see it.
However, while flying in a JP, I think it's valid to expect to see your own feet and torso when you aim downward. As for while reloading, I don't expect people to be looking at their chest to find the ammo strap and risk losing the target they were looking at in front of them. As for reload times, they were within reason for NS1, I see no reason to increase the complexity of the animation nor extend the time required.
Again, this is a cosmetic perk that would be pretty sweet, but personally not high on my list of major priorities. However, this is one of the better ones I've seen in a while.
My solution of it is.... Nothing is drawn on your HUD for yourself. The world draws your player model like any other players model, however your camera is placed in front of the models face.
i guess its not hard to turn it off <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />

You try keeping the model's head to line up perfectly with where you want it to point. Trust me, it stinks hardcore.
Also, remember that at the end f the day the world you "see" is merely mathematical vector synthesis of what the gameworld tells your computer is there. So, your method requires the rendering of the environment with your model in it (position, orientations, etc), slap on the camera, then render for the camera what is there. It's much easier to just render on a per player basis and fill in what's needed and just show the player things through their HUD like their weapon and such. Also, much faster.
Who, what, huh?
i see what you did there
lol
If I remember it correctly, Operation Flashpoint had this and I realy liked it.
I remember back when i made a custom hl2 weapon for the hl2 insurgency mod how hard it was to get it done and how i totally ignored making a 3rd person model for when people die and the guns litter the iraqi sand... so it'd mean overall that we would see more custom content faster!!!!!... You wouldnt need to model a new heavy + spacesuit model that has custom models for arms, and a custom 3rd person model when others are wearing it... you just make 1 animated model... brilliant.
