Joining the constellation?

in NS2 General Discussion
This might be a silly (and possibly old) question, but I searched the forums and couldn't find anything about it. Is it still possible to join the constellation somehow?

I planned to do so the first time it was announced, but never got around to it (for whatever reasons). I've since looked around a few times, but not been able to find anything.

Oh, and I don't know which forum this should go in - there doesn't seem to be any general Unknown Worlds subforum. Sorry if it's in the wrong place.

    Im guessing the Special edition already covers this!

    I'm not sure if the special edition does automatically give you Constellation membership. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if they did add an in-game recognition for special edition owners (other than the black armour).
    I think it's a bit early for them to confirm any of this, but if any devs are reading this post; could you maybe give us your thoughts on this?

    Any idea whether constellation members in NS2 will have an special icon (or any other kind of feature) next to their name as they did in NS1?

    Probably not, Flayra said somewhere that the Constellation was a NS1 thing.
    I think he was refering to beta access, but it should cover the icons too.
    The black armor might be the new 'icon'.

    Is there a possibility to "upgrade" the default pre-order to that special pre-order that includes black armor?
    In case their is an option, I guess it will always be available, wouldn't it?
    So it wouldn't metter whether I would upgrade today or in - let's say - six months?
