CRASH, the last of you sentrys goes down. but im so close! the ono rounds the hallway to see you the one who killed it brotheren. bleeding almost crawling it heads at you almost dead from the defences. this is it, this is it loops in your head as it get nearer</i> <i>this is it,you still think as you hit the door butten hearing the faint noise of your commander drip in from the broken radio in your helmet and the marines on the other side. your reinforcements, a bit to late. </i> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tiny.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::onos::" border="0" alt="tiny.gif" /> <i>it suddenly comes back to your mind the **** ono can rip that door down before thay can set up a 2nd line of defence on the other side, the door may hold it off for a few min but not as long as thay need. as the door fineshed shuting you pull the pins on the nades you had left and hurl them at the ever closer ono, and say goodbye.</i>.............<i>you wake to the sound of chater, you cant move the marines came in the door, and are reviving me, i stand up my limbs still shatered i limp in the door with my comrades helping me all the way. the ono being in need of some revivle its self is about to get a nice shot to the head. good thing these monsters dont have the tech, or thumbs do the things like this we can.</i>" if you get hurt in the hive u stay that way till death, your left for dead, just like real animals, i think that marines should have this perk, but bolth can suiside at any time the hive can always hear there team tho, cuz its in there brains but humans can get there radio and such broken and be cut off from the others, unless team mates are close to them if that teammates radio is broken then you/ thay can still hear him/her but not others less that close to so your cut off till closer to main hub, and transsmiter thingy you can build, but even if your radio is fully working if you get to far away it will still be hard to hear them less any of the ^^^ these things is in play so humans w/ working radios r kinda like moble transmiters less to far away. and u can upgrade your radio, and maby get it repaired w/ a welder, i also think there should be a "fine welder" for fixing some things like the radio. like the norm welder can build and fix stuff but not to full and the fine weldr cant fix stuff nearly as fast as the big welder but can fix it more/fix some stuff bigy cant. wow that was alot, ty for reading there r some other ideas i put in the story i think youl find that i dident want to write about, <b>(^_^)</b> long first post lol

As for slowing down marines based on damage, I am on the fence on this now. It could be an interesting game mechanic but since the kharaa already have a huge speed advantage, I wonder if it would be crippling to the marine force.
And use paragraphs. It helps a lot.

as i failed to say, you wouldent just poof back to life when revived it would take abit depending on how hurt you are, how long exactly is for the uw team to deside, i think that the marines should be faster in genaral but the injurys would compinsate for that, and revivale for braking radio, maby for that. but still not as fast as kharaa
O NEW IDEA haha cuz if you did just sit there KO'ed youed be seen by the hive in no time w/ there seeing thing that i forget the name of, so if you where like that,(or maby just not moving in gen) thay cant see-no sence you cuz your so near death, so crawl in a dark spot n' hide lol.
the marine's com at least could see you if radio worked/ marine is near ect. and maby send people to get you. or u get lucky,
now, Y would you want to wait like this? other then spur of the moment stuff which would shurly happen, lets say your far in hive zone and you dont want to go all the way back so you call for help or wait, or your w/ a group and you get downed if thay live then you still can keep going, vary good if your cut off or need reinforcements-that-cant-get-there-in-time, i think wev all had times like that. and if your lucky and still got your arms you could shoot! but aim would be bad maby.
and you guys sed that you wouldent like that, the guy you just hit shooting you from the half grave, well when you hit him make shure he's realy dead, 1 hit got to do it, not so hard, works out for all! and like i sed you can suiside at any time, same w/ hiveys if there hurt. P.S. and its not like thay are always KO insteda killed, only if you where just a little over 0 hp dmg, like as if you had 110 hp but any less the 100 and yor inncaped or somthin like that
I kinda like the idea of getting incapacitated, but then again if the aliens left me alone I should be more or less able to patch myself together. Maybe even better by a fellow marine.
Like if I jump/fall to far I break a legg I need patching (decrease movement speed).
Maybe I could use an arm to protect myself by pushing skulks away but if they bite at the right time (or I try to push them back at the wrong time) they bite/break my arm and I can only use one arm to fire my weapon (decrease accuracy/increase reload time, maybe a minor bleed dmg). Also decrease accuracy a while after trying to push an alien away.
I would love to see more usable devices around the maps, like if a marine find a control room he can fix/weld the security cameras and use them, or maybe fix a control panel that again can control different doors, activate/deactivate (and lights) power to different sections of the station or turn on lights, activate stations security sentries etc. Or maybe get access to an area/room with some usable equipment (medic bay, stations security room with some weapons or other usable equipment). Could be a tactical point worth protecting.
It's worth a shot, and it entirely depends on the implementation and balancing to make it work. I'm sure it could be done well... just a matter of time (probably lots of it) to get it balanced. Whether or not something complicated like that gets into the game... who knows.
