question about controls

<div class="IPBDescription">configs for different alien classes, etc.</div>I'm curious as to exactly how much customization will be possible for the key bindings for each class, particularly on the alien side. Will it be possible to have different configs auto-execute when you switch types of alien? How about the possibility to fire weapons for a specific slot without changing weapons? (doing this with leap attack was genius in NS1, I'd like to see it taken a step further if possible)

    GOOD TOPIC.

Are their going to be .cfg files that we can modify? Like, when we click the in-game request for "medpack" or "hey, I need some ammo over here," can we modify the .cfg files as to have our character be able to automatically write a text in case the commander blocks out the sounds. Or is playing on mute.

Also, what about scripting. I'm saying scripting for jumps, and pistols and what not? I would love to have this ability. I think that it should be allowed because it really depends on the player if he likes to use scripts or what not.

I say scripting ability should be limited. Reason for this basically is players who script some shooting faster than is normal or gun swapping and shooting - imo. If you can't do it by your own personal skill... it shouldn't be done.

Read the Thread linked at the bottom as well. [Nevermind it got deleted. (Probably became a flame war.)]

All you have to do is not include the "wait" command.

    *EDIT*

Nevermind it is right here: <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=105555" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/in...howtopic=105555</a>

I hope we wil have ways to customise controls, as well as scripting.

Also, it is quite simple to fire the pistol at max speed by clicking the mouse button so in my opinion that's not a problem of scripts. You can also bind a command to the mousewheel if you want to repeat a command quickly.

If you block scripts, then you might as well block the mousewheel completely because it's just as "abusive" as scripts.
