Is MonsE dead or something? Not only is RR a 404 now, but I haven't seen one post from him for quite a while now. Maybe the government captured him for interrogation. I hear that they have very sadistic mehtods of making people talk, such as tying them up and making them watch hours of ALF AND THE SMURFS! Does anybody else have any leads on MonsE's disappearance?
Bah!!! You just detroyed my conspiracy theory! <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo--> I will now unleash my OSH*Ts on you!
As far as I am aware, MonsE has just recently started on his new job, and probably hasn't had time to even check the forums. Maybe he hasn't got his computer up yet or something.

Sorry for me not being around more lately folks. I started a new contract (I'm a consultant) here in NC that is frankly, a huge ballbuster. If you're interested in that sort of thing, it's deploying Windows XP, Netware 6, ZENworks 4, and a bunch of other stuff to 6000 PC's, 700 servers, in 500 branch offices of a big bank in 9 states. Basically, I'm working around the clock here to get all the engineering work done in time for the first pilot in January.
So...
I've not been around much. I still try to play a bit of NS (kind of late usually) from time to time, but with a much longer communte, longer hours, and a lot of weekend work, my day to day involvement with NS is not what it once was. It makes me a bit sad, as I spent a year of my life working many hours a day on Natural Selection, so it's hard to not be so involved anymore. But since we managed to get it out before I vanished, at least I didn't screw the team over.
I will still be involved (primarily with working on the installer code and backend forum/web maintenance), and I will certainly try to get some articles or features written for the big Natural-Selection.org relaunch (wee!). As for Readyroom.org, my host pulled the plug on it as it was getting so many hits it was bogging down the server and making other customers complain. So, it may live again on another host, or may get picked clean of all the good bits for n-s.org and the rest tossed in the dustbin forever. We shall have to see.
I can still be emailed at my account listed in my sig, and I will still be here and there from time to time. Thanks for asking where I went!

Bandwith issues... always a problem. It's not a problem when you're renting your own server! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
yea...**obscenity**...talk about LARGE bloody contract....that amount of work would blow my skiull apart...just designing it would require a large supply of alchohol...
