    Likely the easier option for this would be to create a Steam <b>group</b> ;)

    I think you could keep it up. A community group separate from the official one isn't a bad idea since they serve different purposes.

    There's <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/irc/" target="_blank">IRC</a> and you can always invite people to community groups on Steam if you know their Steam IDs...

    Skype doesn't work ingame (or works with heavy FPS drops more likely). It would probably be just forgotten if people had to switch it off for gaming. I'm not sure how good the support for more than 2 people discussing is either.

    I like steam and adding games to it so I can use the steam chat overlay... just valve need to build an option to access the chat part of it from a web-browser or something instead of entirely from the steam client. *sigh*

    I already see alot of old regulars coming back to the forum/server I used spend most of my ns time on. We all recall the great times and epic games we had, I hope those good times return when all those old faces come together once more. Not that I have anything against playing with new folks, but I am sure many of us have found and bonded with ns communities somewhere and can't wait to see those familiar faces again.
