What the hell are you talking about?
I mean this:
Ok, I download hlserver4110, and installed ns in the folder "ns" in c:\hlserver. When I run hlds.exe, it takes the server.cfg file from the c:\sierra\half-life\ns folder, when it should take it from the c:\hlserver\ns one. Any suggestions why its doing it?
i mean, really man, come on...
if you can't even navigate or understand windows how do you expect to run a decent game server?
You must add -game ns after HLDS.exe
c:\Games\HLServer\HLDS.exe -game ns
RTFM.
nm i cant explain it its too hard to

i am not running it ingame btw
command line:
C:\HLServer\hlds.exe -game ns -port 27016 +maxplayers 10 +map ns_eclipse
the <b>start in</b> should be : c:\hlserver
and target as you posted above.
C:\HLServer\hlds.exe -game ns -port 27016 +maxplayers 10 +map ns_eclipse <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
so you run it with this but it uses server.cfg from your game installation?
am i understanding you correctly?

correct. so in this case the -game ns switch tells it which game you want it to host.. and it will default to the NS server.cfg
edit:: o thanks kik i had the start in the hlds directory that comes with the game cuz all i did was change the directory when i got the standalone my fault <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
