Depending on the physics.
And as far as i know NS2 seems to have good physics.

They don't need to show me how it works in the game, but simply just answer my question about if there will be or not ragdoll and what kind.
L4D used death anims+ragodll to create arguably some of the best death anims Iv ever seen a in a VG. I cant say for sure, but that gorge death could be one of those melding anims with ragdoll.
i mean if u type kill in console the gorge's animation death could be it
with or without ragdoll is fine by me
but would be cool to have a real ragdoll, nothing something like in tf2
edit: oh i think i would love to see lerk's ragdoll
died during soaring through the air hit a wall or a glass with a *thump sound and slid down the wall (like how the usual birds die when they didn't notice the window)

As marines, doesin't the game make a little sound and "+1 score" text once an Alien gets killed?
So if Skulks would attack from a ceiling and marines would fire at them, I feel there isn't a need of some visual grapic effect to show that an Alien is dead.
However, no one can know how it's going to be untill be get to try it.

As someone pointed out, they can be pretty bland looking, so, in some cases we use an actual animation, such as for the gorge, then as soon as the animation ends (which is right where the video ends) the ragdoll will take over. Some of the aliens are going to use mostly ragdoll, some might be half and half, and some might be mostly animation with the ragdoll at the end. We are going to tweak it for what gives us the best look.

There's so much more then just the lerk :P
I remember there is a map at NS1 where lava is falling from above and goes through the floor at a location very close to a hive. (Alright I know the map, but I just never remember the name... :P)
However, imagine a fade incoming (never glorius) and you somehow kill the fade, then he's body turn's into ragdoll and bounce on the ground and finally dives into the lava. (Now that would be glorius :P)
Imagine same location but now as a Skulk you leap and hit a marine launching him into the air and (same as the fade) finally drops down into the lava. (Poor marabo)
Ragdoll can be fun, if you allow it to be. Some people get frustreted about such a things. The ragdoll will most likely not be as I imagine it to be, but for me it's fun to speculate.
