<div class="IPBDescription">and connecting them</div>Because i can't translate my thoughts in perfect argumented english i'll post notes only.
The Idea:
- Two forms of Explosives need Space, Weight and in theory Money.
- Grenades could easy be modified to function like a mine, with triggers and glew.
(Because the hardcore marines out there always find a way to simplify things. Just like building a Flamethrower in the Alien Movie)
- The Explosionpower of a Mine or a Grenade can be reached by putting two of a kind together.
- Why waste money on two products when a Mad Scientist can merge it and get a super crazy new design out of it.
- A Mine actually would hurt a fellow marine if he won't know the location of these thingies.
- A mine maybe could be smelled or otherwise identified by Aliens.
- Running away from a flying Explosive thats nearly gonna hit your Ass is more terrifying like running around and getting pissed of by mines.
- Mines as Electric type?
Before i get to deep into the creating of new Equipment i want to hear the Opinions from the Community.

such as
LEFT MOUSE button = throw grenade
RIGHT MOUSE button = place a proximity mine
sounds very clever to me :)
makes a lot of sense too, a lot of weapons have different options on their usage, and this would be great. You can either pull the pin, and throw it, or you can press a button and stick it onto a wall or floor or roof.
I guess the commander would need to upgrade to grenades first, and the as a second upgrade he would need to research the mine ability for the grenades
(btw that was better english than most people whos english is their primary language hahah)
I've never seen a game with compounding explosions - but it could be very interesting - and would also put an end to grenade spam, as they would all explode at once, and then there would be a break before the GL is reloaded

I like this idea too. Sounds kinda like the Gears of War 2 Grenades/Mines. I do think it would be a great idea though.

I'll accept that. Also these multi-purpose grenades should have one more mode for explosion on impact.
This will give us:
1. standard delayed explosion (ns1 grenade, hopefully more powerful though)
2. proximity trigger (mine mode)
3. explode on impact (moltov mode...who needs a delay :P)
