<div class="IPBDescription">when it's there</div>When NS2 is released will you be aliens or marines first? I think I'll go marines first even though aliens is my favorite team, I'm afraid it won't have the same feeling with an alien commander.

    That choice is obvious - Marines! That way when I finally play aliens then I can pick apart the marines because I'll be able to counter their strategy with ease.

    Hard to tell, whichever team is not full....


    I prefer marines though, I'm much better with a gun, but aliens will be even more fun with NS2 and I can't wait. We all know how insane it will become on the first day too.

    If I can pick, it's aliens. I know roughly how the marine play feels based on tons of FPS games, but the aliens are quite unique in the world of FPSes. I want to try the skulk movement asap.

    Random.
    Which almost certainly means aliens, knowing how new players work... was like that in 1.0x IIRC. Of course, back then balance issues kept that ratio unbalanced for rather longer - had to become a better skulk real fast to stand a chance.

    Marines. I want to taste that elusive atmosphere, feel the thrill of entering a room and <i>not knowing</i>.

    Later, I will not get quite the same feeling, having trawled the maps as a skulk 1001 times.

    More likely I would go Spectator first and observe both side's abilities.

    If not that, definetly make a Local Host game for myself and try out everything in the game. Also while doing that, finding every exploitable thing possible... especially stuff in the map.

    Then keep the information to myself. Yes I am evil like that.

    Wanna check out the Alien Comm...but also Marine Comm...and aliens (esp lork and gorge...), and marines
    eh, probably just go random, any choice I pick will have stuff I want to see



    I don't think (could be wrong) there will be much marine stacking during alpha/beta, most of the SE purchasers will be seasoned NS1 players and all of us will be keen to try both sides out. Once the final version is released all the non-preorder people will probably tend to go Marine first.

    Well the thing I usually do is on new maps is skulking around the map to get to places no marine can go! So I guess NS2 will not be much different, that and I think the first thing I actually start is the SDK/mapper :P

    I would definitely choose aliens, cause alienz r cool. If I wanted to play a marine, I'd boot up Halo.

    I'll join whichever team will seem to be getting owned, and proceed to bang my head against the wall. I enjoy playing against challenging opponents.

    Whom would I play given choice ? I'm more eager to try aliens. Almost every FPS game lets you play as a human with rifle...
