Hi. I was a huge fan of NS and only just recently learned of NS2.
Anyways, is mouse acceleration forced in NS2? It probably isn't considering it's being developed for PC, and the devs know how important accurate mouse movement is, but more and more PC games (mostly console to PC ports) are having mouse accel forced on. E.g. Dead Space, Bioshock, Mass Effect, and it really annoys me to no end.
Also, does the game/engine support direct input?

CPL mouse fix actually doesn't do anything in Vista / Windows 7, which I assume most people will be using soon.
Even then, it doesn't completely remove accel. To fully disable accel you need to get a modified Windows system file, but then there's slight mouse lag which is bad. Disabling 'Pointer Precision' is good enough for me.
ALSO, even if you do all steps mentioned above to remove accel, the games I mentioned in my first post still have mouse acceleration hard coded into the game, which is the problem that I hope will not occur with NS2.

I don't think we have to worry about it in NS2, though, since it's a feature I've never seen outside of a console-to-PC port and I doubt UWE will try to change that considering how it's detrimental to aiming when using mouse and keyboard.

Good settings are still cool. I've heard that a lot of good quake gamers use a slight bit of accelration as quake's accelration is easily configurable with a few variables.
Some people will want it, some people won't.
All that's needed is the option and a selectable value of acceleration if enabled.
