Will NS2 bring in or adapt some revolutionary ideas from "Empires"?

How about if the commander can drive the CC?

What if you can buy weapons at the armory and spend team resources if commander allows?


I think "Empires" is a good mod for HL2, and "NS" is a good mod for HL1...

    It has already been announced that marine players will purchase their own weapons/items.

    As an Empires player and regular development forum poster there, I'm afraid you've just lost serious credibility by saying Empires is a good mod.

    It's an ambitious, interesting, and sorta fun mod. But leagues away from being good.

    Yeah, maybe when they sort out the vehicle lag that plagues every single server and find a way to advertise their mod and retain new players (I think we can all agree the larger part of the Empires community is very noob un-friendly, for lack of a better term) then Empires may be considered good. I think the devs are doing a fantastic job, don't get me wrong, but they're still a ways away and the community isn't helping.

    Also, having several different primary lead devs doesn't help, nor does having to deal with horrendous C++ code.

    I disagree... i find Empires to a good mod :P (yes it needs an aircraft factory to reach epic levels... but it is at "good" already :P)
